Zip sat on her bed, staring out of her window.

She couldn't shake the thoughts that had been swirling around in her head all day. She had always been tough and confident, but lately, she had been feeling vulnerable and unsure.

It was all because of Edward.

They had been friends since they were kids, but something had changed recently. She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but she found herself thinking about him more and more.

She had always teased him and pushed him around, but now she was starting to realize that she might have feelings for him.

Zip was afraid to confront these feelings, though.

She didn't want to lose Edward as a friend, and she didn't want to be rejected if she told him how she felt.

She didn't know what to do, but she knew that she couldn't keep pretending that everything was the same between them.

However.. There was another feeling she DREADED. Whenever Edward was with another female, she felt as if her insides were burning, her nose scrunching in disgust.

Edward was HERS, nobody else's.

All she wanted to do was snuggle with him all day, kiss hi-

*RING, RING, RING!*

That was her alarm..

"Are you KIDDING ME!" She groaned, lifting off of her bed to the bathroom.

no sleep once more.

All because of stupid, lovable Edward.

She staggered over her sink, grabbing her toothbrush and applying paste to get ready for the day. She looked up at herself in the mirror, spotting eye bags. Nothing a little makeup couldn't fix!

After she was done getting ready, she put on her iconic boots before slinging her bag on her back. A frown plastered on her face.

This was going to be a terrible day.

and it's all because of him.

Zip entered the building, drowning in her thoughts about Edward. That was... until she bumped into somebody.

Lo and behold, Edward. Standing up and holding his hand out for Zip. She could feel her face growing hot as she sheepishly took his hand.

"H-Hey, Eddie." She stuttered, probably because the thoughts she had of him weren't very... let's say, child-friendly.

"Hey Zip! How's it goin'?" Edward greeted, a bright smile on his face.

"Stuff." She nodded. Obviously she couldn't tell him about the fan-fictions she was having of him.

They walked to class together, since they both had the same mathematics class period.

384 words! I plan on making pretty long chapters after this one though.

Let me know of some things I could do for the next chapter.
