Suddenly Mine

Chapter 3

I finally make it off of school grounds when I hear "Violet!" I turn to see Jason running after me. He catches up to me, barely at a pant and hugs me again. "What are you doing?" I ask. "I missed you," He singsongs. "Okay I just have a quick question, why are you all of the sudden all over me? You act like we are together but we're not..." I say trying not to sound mean. He stands there and I can see that why I said kind of hurt him. "Well, when we used to study, I noticed a little bit of flirting going on between us. It made me have feelings for you and when we stopped talking... You're all that I thought about... It made me.... Fall.. In love... With you..." He says slowly. This made my stomach flip.
We had a nice romantic moment where we just stared into each others eyes but that quickly ended when my phone rang. I took my phone out and it was my dad. Oh no! I completely lost track of time! "Hang on its my dad, he doesn't know that I'm here," I say nervously.
I answer the call and try to sound calm "Hey dad!" I say. "Hey Vi, where are you?" He asks. "Oh I just went for a quick walk to clear my mind, I'm almost home." I lie... "Okay, let me know you're going to do that next time okay? I got worried." He says. "Okay well I'll see you soon, bye" I hang up.
I look up at Jason who is staring at his foot which is digging in the dirt. "I really need to go now, I'll text you right when I get home though okay?" I say. He snaps out of his daydream and smiles "Okay beautiful, we should do this again sometime." He grabs my hands in his. "Goodbye," I try to say cutely. "Bye," he says while smiling. I let go of his hands and turn to start walking home.
     Before I can make it home my phone goes off and it's Jason. "Hey, today was fun. Meet me tomorrow?" It read. Wow... He really likes me. Do I like him? Definitely! "I'll try to :)" I text back.
      When I make it home I see my sister and dad sitting on the couch laughing at the tv, not even noticing me. "Guys! Hello? I'm home," I say waving my hands above my head. "Oh! Hi honey, how was your walk?" My dad asks. "It was okay I guess..." I shrug my shoulders trying not to smile and blush when thinking about "my walk"... "I'm going to go upstairs and shower" I say walking to the stairs. There was no reply so I look back to see my dad talking to my sister completely ignoring me. I sigh and run up the stairs.
