Suddenly Mine

Chapter 4

"Vi! Vi! Vi! Wake up!" I hear my sister scream and giggle. She's eight years old and loves to annoy me. "What? I'm trying to sleep... It's summer so I get to actually sleep in.. Go away!" I snap. I'm kind of a monster in the morning. "Okay but if I leave you will never know what I was going to tell you!" She says mockingly. "I don't care," I say whining. I hear her shut the door and skip down the hall.
I had about two minutes of quiet before my door opened again "Kaylie go downstairs!" I say frustrated. "Well last time I checked my name was Jason." I heard a voice say. Oh no.. I sit up trying to hide my face and fix my hair. "I told you I would meet you at the school! I look gross, I don't want you to see me like this!" I say while quickly grabbing my brush, makeup, and phone and running into the bathroom.
I slam the door and take a deep breath. There is a moment of silence before I hear "Hey I'm sorry that I just showed up like this, but I think that you look absolutely beautiful right now." Jason says softly. Oh please, he's just trying to make me feel better. "I don't understand why you are here though, we were supposed to meet at the school, not my house." I say calming down. "Well... I wanted to see you and it was getting late. You weren't answering your phone and I was waiting at the school for you for an hour. I got kind of worried so I headed over here." How early did he want to meet? I look at my phone to check the time and it says that it's 2:30. Oh... I get it now. "Sorry I must have over slept. I just didn't expect you to be here. I hate when people see me when I just wake up." I say feeling bad.
I start brushing my hair and putting on a little makeup. When I finally open the door I see that Jason is no longer in the hallway. Where could he have gone? I decide to put my brush and make up back into my room before looking for him. I walk in to see him asleep on my bed. Aww he's so cute even when he sleeps..
I try to be quiet and not wake him up. I watch his chest rise and fall and his fingers twitch. I lightly touch his soft face and lightly drag my hand up to his hair which I then twist in my fingers. It's so soft and smooth.
I look back down at his face still twisting his hair in my fingers. His eyes are wide open and looking at me. A smile spreads across his face and I pull my hand back embarrassed. "Having fun?" He asks giggling. "Oh yeah umm I was just-" "Its fine, sorry that I fell asleep on your bed. I didn't really get much sleep last night..." He says cutting me off. "Why is everything okay?" I ask. "Yeah um everything is fine," he says with a fake smile. "I know that-" "It's fine," he says cutting me off again.
He sits up and is a little frustrated. I decide to change the subject "so any exciting plans for the summer?" He puts his head down and looks at me with a smile. "What," I ask giggling. "Nothing, you just always know how to cheer me up," he says taking my hand. "Well I-" I'm cut off by him slamming his lips onto mine.
He puts both hands onto my waist then slowly slides his left one up my body and into my hair. It was amazing until we were interrupted by hearing my sisters footsteps running up the stairs. "Jason my mommy wants to know if you want to stay for dinner," she says unaware of what was just happening. "I would love to! Thank you!" He says politely.
When we finally hear my sister run back downstairs I playfully slap him on the arm and say "You can't do that! My sister almost caught us!" I try to sound angry but I look at him and smile. "What? Are you not aloud to kiss me?" He asks. "I don't know I've never really asked... Or been in this situation before." I say. "So what you're saying is, I'm the first boy that you've had over.. Like as more than friends." He asks. "Yeah... And you were also my first kiss..." I say embarrassed. "Wow I thought you had kissed plenty of people, you are really good at it." He says. "Thanks," I say blushing.
"Dinner!" We hear my mom yell. We race each other downstairs and sit next to each other. This is really nice... I think I love him...
