I haven't had as much free time as I wished I would have to make stories for you guys. I hope that this story of Lan Xichen and Jiang Cheng will make everyone happy after my very long absence. Lan Xichen had always been drawn to Jiang Cheng's fiery spirit and unwavering loyalty, even if the Jiang sect leader's brash manner sometimes clashed with the Lan sect's philosophy of peaceful cultivation. The spark between them was undeniable when the two found themselves working together to investigate a string of night hunt attacks.
At first, Jiang Cheng resisted his growing feelings, convinced the refined Lan Xichen could never return his affections. But Lan Xichen's gentle patience slowly wore down his defenses. He admired how Jiang Cheng never hesitated to fight for what was right, protesting injustice with a passion Lan Xichen found captivating.
One night, as they made camp under a canopy of stars, Lan Xichen could no longer deny how deeply Jiang Cheng had carved a place in his heart. When Jiang Cheng ranted about the incompetence of their last opponent, Lan Xichen pulled him close and kissed him, silencing his tirade.
Jiang Cheng froze in surprise before melting into the kiss, his anger giving way to enthusiasm. They came together in a clash of passion and tenderness, two halves of a whole. Jiang Cheng had finally found a haven in Lan Xichen's caring embrace.
In the following days, Lan Xichen's calm centeredness complemented Jiang Cheng's bold impulsiveness. Though their sects' philosophies differed, their hearts beating in sync formed a harmony more profound than any rules or restrictions. Jiang Cheng learned to temper his anger, while Lan Xichen overcame his hesitance to confront injustice directly.
Their love was the kind of devotion sects write rules about-all-consuming, eternal, destined. And in quiet moments, they thanked the stars that first brought them together, creating the spark that ignited the fire that would warm their lives forever after.
