🪩🎧⋆⋆。° SYPNOPIS ✩🎱at mckinley high school, there was two sides of the social ladder; the popular crowd and then everyone else.
the only time they interacted was when the popular crowd decide to put down the other side — in the form of harsh words, and slushies.
the popular crowd was made up of any member of jocks, and the cheerios. the losers was anyone who dared to be different, the dreamers who saw more in their future than lima, ohio.
some of those that didn't fall into jock or cheerleader, would be able to go through their school life as part of that middle ground that was invisible.
elliana miller was one of those she walked the hallways and was rarely noticed, despite her sister being one of the main targets — the different last names meant many hadn't made the connection.
they also didn't care to correct the assumptions of the other students. with rachel arguing that elliana being her younger sister would make her a target and that's something she'd never allow, everyone has their one kryptonite and elliana was hers.
and if anyone found out about the supposed weakness in the star loser's unbreakable facade then they would exploit it. rachel wasn't willing to take the risk, and had leapt at the chance of distance in their proximity.
they had two dads, why not honour both by using each name? it's not like their dads shared a last name, as gay marriage wasn't legal in ohio in 2009.
but, when the glee club is revived and elliana decides maybe it was time to stop hiding in that middle ground, her life begins to change.
if that change was for the better she's still trying to figure that out.
