Ali POV

I felt my body gaining its consciousness, and my hearing was slightly ringing.

I decide to open my eyes, and I was met by darkness.

But that's not the only one greeted me, the other one was Litwick. As she made a quiet, and worried noises.

I groaned a bit, as I look at my Litwick. I then gave her my signature, assuring smile.

"I-i'm fine sweetie. How about you? Are you alright?" I asked, stuttering a bit. But then I saw her open the lantern by herself and jumped at me, she then starts to cuddled on my neck.

I could feel the worries she gave off, and also thankfulness.

I softly sighs, and patted her softly. When all of the sudden we heard a voice outside.

"I better hurry up and find that uniform before someone spots me..." The voice outside stated.

"What's going on?...." I muttered, only me and Litwick could hear.

"Urgggh... This lid weighs a ton! Try this on for size! Mya-ha!" When the voice said that, the door in front of me starts burning.

"F-fire?!" I stuttered, before kicking the door wide opened.

I hold Litwick protectively close to me, as I step outside. I then saw the floating coffins around the place, and the creature who was burning the coffin I was in.

"A small.... Critter?" I said out loud, as I unconsciously tilting my head. But that comment didn't take to lightly from the small critter.

"How... How DARE YOU! I am no CRITTER! I'm Grim, sorcerer extraordinaire! Tch. Whatever. You...human! Just gimme your uniform, and be quick about it!" The critter, named Grim, shouted.

I look down at my outfit, and it seems my outfit was still the same. But this time it wasn't drenched in cold water, and surprisingly my bag was still there.

"This uniform?" I pointed my outfit, and it seems he's at my attire.

"Myah?! Why are you not wearing a uniform?!" Grim shouted, as I chuckled.

"And even if my outfit change, how could your small body fit in a huge attire?" I asked, but he doesn't like the small teasing I did.

"You're gonna regret making that comment!!!" The monster threatened.

I don't think he's threatening, but I don't want some burn part on me, so I decided to runaway.

"H-hey!!!" Grim screamed, as I ran out the room.

3rd POV

Ali was holding their Litwick, and also gripping their hook.

They arrived in a room full of books, and floating books. The room was lighted by some green flames, and it seems it was still dark outside. Probably midnight or so.

But their sightseeing was cut off by Grim, "Foolish human! Did you really think you could slip away from ME?"

Ali readied his staff, pointing it at Grim. As Litwick was also readied to attack.

"Now, be ready to get burned to a crisp— Me-YEOW! That hurt! What gives?" Grim screamed, as some kind of black whip wrapped around him.

Ali then saw a male, with a bird mask, and a flamboyant attire.

"Consider it tough love. Ah, I've found you at last. Splendid. I trust you're one of this year's new students? My, were you ever eager to make your debut. And bringing a poorly trained familiar with you? That is a clear violation of the school's rules." The man stated, but he noticed that the other one wasn't wearing any uniform.

"How come you're not wearing any uniform, I thought it would change once you get here." He exclaimed, as he looking at Ali.

"As if I'd serve some lowly human! Now lemme go!" Grim interrupt.

"Yes, yes. Rebellious familiars always say that. Do be quiet for a bit, won't you?" The man said, as he also tied Grim's mouth.

"Mmmrph!"

"Dear me. Of all the students I've dealt with, you're the first with temerity enough to open their own gate and step out of it. Does the very notion of patience elude you?
No matter. Your orientation has already begun. Let us return to the Mirror Chamber." The man stated, making Ali more confused.

"Student?? Gate??" Ali asked out loud, yet softly, as the other man started to talk... A lot.

"You awakened in a room full of gates, did you not? All of the students here at the campus arrived by passing through such gates. Although typically the students have restraint enough to wait until I open them before waking up."

"So those coffins are like...gateways?" They said, unsure about that.

"The design is intended to symbolize a parting with your former world, and a rebirth into a new one." The man explained, as he continues. "But now is not the time for such prattle. You've a student orientation to attend! Go on, now. Make haste." Pushing Ali out of the room, as Ali move away from him.

"Wait! I want to asked. Who are you? And where am I?" Ali questioned, looking at the man.

"Hm? Have you not fully regained consciousness? The timespace teleportation must have addled your memories... Well, these things happen, I suppose. I shall explain it to you while we walk. Truly, my magnanimity is boundless." The man exclaimed proudly, making Ali sweat drop.

And with that the two walk together, as the man explained the where are they.

• Ali is physically strong in this world, but back to the pokeworld it's pretty much normal.

• Litwick was ready to drained Grim and Crowley's life energies.

• Ali was checking his bag if his items where there, and yeah, it's there.
