/Sorry for making you wait/

Me and Lilliana were watching videos on my phone when Quinn and Edward came in.
-What are you guys doing? Wait...where's Dave?-Edward sat down on the bed. He looked at me with a questioning face. Lilliana looked up from the phone annoyed.
-You know him! He went out to explore. It's not like he can find anything interesting!-I rolled my eyes at her answer.
-Oh I see. I kinda wanted to look around too. I read there are some nice tourist attractions, what do you girls think? Or do you really want to spend all your time on your phone?
-Fine by me! I mean we have never been to Austria before and I've always wanted to see the mountains and other pretty places.- My face lit up of that thought.
-Finee...I guess we could go, I'm not that tired anymore.-She climbed off the bed and gave me my phone.
-Shouldn't we wait for Dave first? Lilliana send him a message.-Quinn commanded and Lilli did as she was told. We agreed to give him 5 minutes to answer then we will look for him ourselves.
6 minutes later there was still no answer so we walked out of the room and decided to look around the outside area first.

A beautifully made park was behind the hotel.
There were flowers and trees planted around a lake in a regular pattern. The weather was sunny. Sunny enough to wear sunglasses.
Quinn sat down on a bench, Edward followed her example.
-Wow this is actually relaxing.-The boy closed his eyes and sat in a relaxed position.
-Yeah It is but this isn't why were're here. We are looking for Dave, remember?
-Right.. come on babe.-Quin stood up and started walking. We followed her. A couple was walking quietly hand in hand but no one else was around. I spotted something in the lake so I picked up pace and speedwalked to it. A paper was floating on the water. It was upside down so I couldn't read it, I had to get it out.
-Hey what are you doing?!-Lilliana crouched down too while I was trying to reach the paper.
-I wanna read that paper but it seems like I'm too short. I can't reach it!-I frowned.
-Omg..Move!-I moved away so she can get it out for me.
-Why is it so important anyway?? It's just a paper.
-I don't know. I'm just curious plus I have this weird feeling that this paper's going to mean something important.-Even I couldn't explain the reason.
-Got it!-She waved the sodden sheet/paper(idk)
-What's written on it?
-Ummm... Guys this is defenitely a missing person poster. Madline Anders went missing in 2020 on the 14th of May I think?? If you know something about her then contact this number immediately.-I looked at my friends. All of their faces turned pale.
-I.. I saw a poster like this too. On the way to the hotel. It was glued to a street lamp.-Quinn looked down on her shoes. I pulled her into a hug. I felt like she needed one. :)
-Come on guys. People go missing everywhere. This doesn't mean anything but now I really want to find Dave so we can stay together..-Edward smiled at us but we all knew he is just as freaked out as we are.

Something was very wrong with this place but whe couldn't figure out what it was yet.
We agreed to separate into two groups because it's easier to search the place like that.
We wanted to find him as fast as possible.
I went with Lilliana and Quinn chose to be with Edward. Obviously.
Searching a hotel for one person isn't hard at all right? A hotel isn't that big and there aren't many opportunities to hide.
Or so I thought.
