Once upon a time~ there lived a princess! The ugliest girl in the entire universe! That is what the queen, king, her sibling and the servants used to say.

She never came out of her room. It was not because her parents didn't allow her to, but because whenever she came out, she would be humiliated in front of everyone.

She's now 17. She hadn't stepped out of her room for 5 years now. No one knows how she looks like. Not even she herself. She had thrown away all the mirrors as according to her, they were nothing but a constant reminder to her ugly self. A reflection of her ugliness.

Today is an eventful day. Within the next few hours, her room would be locked from the outside by the guards. The occasion is her elder sister Jiyoung, the crowned princess's coronation.

It was not like she'd come out and show herself to others. Everyone knew, she wouldn't do it. Not bcz she's the kind, forgiving and loving princess but bcz her insecurity would never let her to come out of her shell- her room.

The reason for the presence of the big lock outside her door was to prevent anyone from entering her room. The king was quite against the idea of letting anyone know about his youngest daughter, who proved to be a burden since her birth. The queen wasn't quite delighted about locking her daughter, but she didn't have the guts to go against the king after what she did in the past.

The princess was in her room with her lights off to not raise curiosity among the guests about how a light is turned on in a room that is locked up. She was sitting by the balcony and staring down at the guests. Silently judging them. Her inner child wanted to go down and hang out with all her childhood friends she used to play with. But she knew better. Everyone has changed. No one came looking for her when she locked herself. They continued visiting the castle and spending time with her other sibling, Jiyoung. She would sometimes come out and eavesdrop at them during their play time. She would stalk them from her balcony and feel jealousy. But soon she accepted her life. But she couldn't stop feeling hurt.

After spending an hour or two, she got bored and shifted her focus towards the stars. Yup! The stars! Star gazing had become her favorite hobby besides writing.

Present at the hall were, 4 important personalities. Each possessing unique, dangerous and deadly powers. These 4 were the infamous princes of the vampire kingdom. Royalty. The only word that'd come out of your mouth when u see them.

They were Lee Heeseung, the eldest son, Kim Sunoo, the 5th son, Yang Jungwon, the crowned prince and 6th son, and lastly Nishimura Riki, the 7th as well as the youngest one. They have 3 more brothers but they are currently out in the foreign land dealing with foreign military affairs, new plans and alliances.

Though none of them have the same parents. Their bond is undoubtedly strong and more close than siblings arising from the same parents. They are related through the royal vampire blood which makes them 'brothers'.

The 4 brothers were sitting all by themselves. It's not like nobody tried to initiate a conversation, they did. But the reaction was met with ignorance or violence and those who didn't try to due to fear were also silenced. A reminder, 250+ guests and absolute silence. Hmmm. Doesn't sound surprising or suspicious, at all!

So, the princess who was minding her own business suddenly feels someone at the door. And, oh boy! How she's right! The door opens. It's her mother, the queen! Beside her are two guards.

"_, I don't have much time to sit here and explain u the situation but try to unders-""_!", the queen was interrupted by her husband.

"For once, prove the fact that u are not useless. Go! And pretend to be the crown princess!", the princess stared at him in disbelief. She was supposed to pretend to be the crowned princess? But why? And what did the queen want to say? Is the kingdom under attack? & are they using her as bait to save their beloved elder daughter?

Hearing no response, made the king annoyed and angry. The situation was extremely stressful and upon that his good-for-nothing youngest illegitimate child is creating more trouble. So he, eyed the guards and them understanding the glance quickly pushed the princess.

A harsh push from one of the guards made her fall down. _  might have stayed 5 years in her room without much physical activities but she was quite strong, both mentally as well as physically, thanks to the intense and rough life she had before locking herself up. But the guards were literally big men who work out for most hours every day. That was the reason why, the push created a bruise on her arms and knees.

Ignoring the push, the king ordered the maids to quickly dress the princess. So, there she was. Even with the plain blue grayish gown, she looked beautiful but she didn't believe it. Not even when the maids or her mother complimented her and forget about the king. He left soon after ordering the maids.

No makeup on her face. Nothing. She was rushed into the ball where she saw the dead bodies of the guests she stared down upon, from her window. Blood. Everywhere blood. Except for near the 4 men who sat at their seats unbothered.

The clicking sound of the heel brought the attention of the unknown men towards her and they looked at her as if they had found their prey, their food that they had been starving for. The one with the pink hair stalked towards her. She wanted to run. But she didn't, more like she couldn't. Her legs were glued to the ground. The unknown man reached for her undone hair and twirled a strand of it with his hands. He came closer to her. Towards her neck. He breathed in and placed his teeth on her neck. He could hear her heartbeat. Feel her breath. He liked the rhythm.

Her blood was pumping and he could hear it. He could smell it. It wasn't a special type of blood. No, it wasn't. He just liked her dress, her reaction when she saw the bodies of the dead and her ragged breathing which he just started to notice.

He placed his fangs on her neck and grabbed her head with his hands. But before he could bite and suck the life out of her his eldest brother made a comment.

"She's not Jiyoung. Kim, go find the princess along with Riki. Let this one be", but no, he wouldn't leave without the girl who suddenly sparked an interest in him.

"Idc, if she's Jiyoung or not. I want her. And I'll take her." He turned around to look at Heeseung, straight in the eye.

"Both of you, stop. You can take whomever you want. But before that, we need to find the crown princess. And maybe this girl can help us in it". The man with the green shirt on said.

All of them looked at her. "I know nothing." She simply stated and looked down. Not because she was scared but because she wasn't confident enough to show her face. Her thoughts were a mess, but the 4 vampires were able to catch up with it. From the outside their expressions were blank, but from the inside they were quite shocked and amused to know such secrets about their rival kingdom.

They didn't press on her anymore as they knew she spoke the truth. Riki took her hands and pulled her out of the hall and into the council office of the kingdom. The others following right behind.

The door was pushed open and the view inside the council was laughable. There seated was Jiyoung, the crown princess, crying and trembling. Beside her, was her mother and her father, with distressed looks.

The entry of the 5, scared the hell out of the 3. The king and queen were killed even before they could speak, and Jiyoung dear, had to see it. She cried out loud but it wasn't of use, as Heeseung just dragged her out.

Not soon after, Jiyoung was knocked out as a punishment for making noise. From there onwards I remember nothing as I too was knocked out for god knows what reason.
