Ty and I had a small wedding reception with family and friends. It was perfect, just what we wanted. Of course, there was a lot to do before we left for New York. I managed to write my third-year finals with everyone as planned, and I got top scores across the board. That secured my position at MIT, which was a relief.
We found a loft apartment to rent for the year, which was pretty great because Mac and Sandra moved into the same building. We had a little tradition where we'd take turns hosting dinner every other Friday, just to keep things fun. The study groups at the MIT library were growing too; it's like the energy was contagious.
Mel started her own marketing company. Ty and Mac became her first clients, and she was killing it, building their brands from the ground up. I went into business with Kimberly, opening boutiques all over the States. Mel was our marketer too, which was awesome. We had plans for world domination—okay, maybe not, but it felt like it!
Cassidy moved to Paris to pursue her art dreams. Cassandra got married and settled down. Denise moved to the UK and has already written her first novel. Henry joined me at MIT. He's rocking the program and still DJing on weekends. The guy's unstoppable.
Collins and Majorie relocated to the U.S. We bought them a lovely house in Wallkill, about a three-hour drive away. David and Sue are planning to move to Wallkill by the end of the month. Sue says she wants to be close to family and any grandbabies that might come along. Simon came back from South Africa mature and ready to get back into school life.
Ty and I have talked about kids and decided to wait until I graduate. We're both excited to start a family but want to be responsible about it. I can't wait for the future, but I'm loving the present too.
