Chapter 19
‘Austin..whats wrong?’ i said walking over to him.
‘I…I…’ he couldn’t speak. He went pale.
‘Austin..say it..’ i stated nervously.
‘I have to go back to the army.’ he let out looking straight ahead of him. My heart dropped.
‘W-What?’ i asked.
‘I have to go..im suppose to leave tonight..their picking me up..i..i..i didnt even know..’ he said turning around to face me with tears in my eyes.
‘No..p-please dont go..i d-dont wanna lose you’ i stated with watery eyes. ‘Your the only family i have…’ i stated.
‘No..you have mo-’ i cut him off.
‘Their not family. Their nothing to me.’ i stated and he sighed.
‘You have Harry..and his family..’ he sighed.
‘No..i want you’ i said starting to let all the tears and whimpers come out.
‘What about Darcy? She’s so attached to you! And now you wont come back!’ i sobbed.
‘Hey Hey Hey! I will always come back!’ he reassured. ‘Just not for a while..im going to be safe..i promise you..okay?’ he said stroking my hair while hugging me. ‘I think i should go pack..’ he sighed and i nodded.
‘I-I’ll help..’ i stuttered. Thats when Harry came back into the kitchen with Darcy in his arms.
‘What’s wrong? Why are you crying?’ Harry asked.
‘A-Austin’s leaving..he has to go back..’ i said looking at him with tears in my eyes. Harry’s face went emotionless.
‘I thought he d-didnt have to go..’
‘well…they said they needed me..you know them..’ Austin sighed walking up the stairs.
‘Im gunna help him..kay babe?’ i said looking over at Harry and he nodded. I quickly kissed Darcy’s forehead and walked upstairs. I helped him pack when we heard a taxi honk. I looked down. Austin took his bags and walked downstairs, first hugging Harry and then taking Darcy into his arms trying to stay strong but he let the tears fall.
‘Hey cutie..’ he said trying to seem happy. ‘Uncle Austin has to go for a while..but i promise i will be back..and then i can hug you..and kiss you multiple times again..and we can play..okay?’ he said holding Darcy close to him and kissing her forehead and handing her back to Harry. He then walked over to me.
‘Sis..’ he started. ‘Ima miss you’ he said tears forming in his eyes and i ran over to him and hugged him tightly.
‘P-Please dont go!’ i cried.
He stroked my hair.
‘Sh…i have to..’ he sighed and kissed my forehead.
‘I’ll be home soon..’ he said pulling away from the hug and walking towards the car waving while driving away. I walked into the house with Harry and he hugged me.
‘He’ll be back..i promise babe..’ Harry said kissing my lips sweetly and i nodded lightly.
‘Wanna play with Darcy?’ he asked.
‘Sure..’ i stated. We walked into the living room and i placed the blanket on the floor and placed Darcy there.
‘I-I’ll be right back..’ Harry said walking into the kitchen. Right when he left Darcy did the unthinkable. She sat up for the first time.
