Chapter 1 | The encounter

Jaehyun approached the college courtyard, hands casually tucked into the pockets of his leather jacket. The sun was shining brightly. He spotted his friend Taesan sitting on a bench, scrolling through his phone.

"Hey, Taesan!" Jaehyun called out, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "What's the plan for today?"

Taesan looked up and grinned. "Hey, Jaehyun! I was thinking we could-"

But before Taesan could finish his sentence, Jaehyun's attention was diverted to a figure standing by the library, a slight frown formed in his features. Jaehyun had seen him around the college before, always with his head buried in a book, furrowing his brows in concentration.

"Who's that?" Jaehyun asked, nodding towards Sungho.

Taesan followed Jaehyun's gaze and shrugged. "Oh, that's Sungho. He's one of the top students in our college. He is really smart and also known as the "pretty boy" in our school ."

Jaehyun got interested. "Really? How come i not know him?" Jaehyun asked Taesan. "Maybe because you're never interested in school stuff?" Taesan sarcastically answered. "Yeah, yeah, maybe. I'll catch up to you later, okay?" Jaehyun said as he started walking over to where Sungho stood, a confident grin on his face. "Wait, so you're just going to leave me like that after asking me a question and not even waiting for me to answer it?" Taesan shouted. But jaehyun couldn't care less. "Huh, whatever" Taesan shrugged as he continued to scroll through his phone.

"Hey there, beautiful" Jaehyun greeted with a sly smile, leaning against a nearby wall. Sungho looked up, surprise flickering in his eyes.

"Um, hi," Sungho replied, his voice quiet and hesitant.

Jaehyun smirked, his playful demeanour being in full force. "What's a gorgeous person like you doing all alone on a sunny day like this?" He asked.

Sungho's expression tightened, his frustration evident. "I... I was just looking for some books to study."

"Oh, about what subject?" Jaehyun asked as he leaned closer to him. "Music" Sungho answered, taking a step back to widen the gap between them a bit. "Wait, you take music as a major?" Jaehyun asked, trying to act surprised, again, taking a step to lessen the gap between them. "Yea" Sungho answered, again trying to take a step backwards.

Then suddenly, an arm wrapped around his waist, stopping Sungho from moving away. It was none other than Jaehyun trying to get close to Sungho.

"Ohhh dude, he's flirting" Taesan said to himself as he watched the scene from afar. Then he just shrugged and continued watching some random videos on YouTube.

"Why are you trying to get away from me, pretty boy?" Jaehyun asked Sungho with a smirk. "I'm late, I have classes to attend" Sungho tried to make up an excuse.

"Don't we attend the same classes? I'm sure I've seen you in like every single class I attend, and from what i remember, we don't have a class right now" Jaehyun shot back. "Oh" that's the only word Sungho could get out of his mouth.
