An Unlikely Duo and a Sense of Trouble

Y/N's start of the day would have been splendorous had it not been for that lousy random ginger-head screaming in the middle of the morning, this is where he wondered. Where was that girl and her energized self when Ozpin gave his speech?

That's no use right now, Looking around as he walked across the halls, the students were loud and filled with chatter; they all knew that today is the big day, the initiation was the most anticipated event of their time on Beacon, and they were all eager to see how it all would play out. Now on the locker rooms, Y/N began to look around, his Six Eyes scanned the locker rooms. Beacon was said to have teams, and it was an obvious lie that the students themselves would be choosing them. However, it wouldn't change too much, So he was wasting his time on a useful manner, by sorting up the competition should the initiation be a survival of the fittest.

Vibrant E/C eyes darting from left to right, analyzing and sizing up the others like they were pieces of meat. Focusing on everything, even the smallest little detail: their appearance, their attitude, even their stances that would give him a glimpse into their capabilities...

But most importantly, he scanned the auras of each person in this room; he could see a clear distinction on the aura level of each person, which ones were more powerful than others and which ones were the weaker ones.

Right now, the person with the highest levels in the room was the scrawny blond that Weiss used as a pitiful example yesterday. It looked like a lie, but it was amusing. How a weakling with a weak form could have such high Aura levels, even slightly higher than his own. Letting himself grow a small smirk, Y/N couldn't help but find himself interested in the blond. Should he will prevail? Or will fall along most of this room.

One thing that he could see was that girl, Ruby was her name if memory served him right. Her eyes, gave off a different read. He couldn't quite pinpoint what was it, however it worked to spiced things up. Can't be the only special one, it would be so boring to have no one else to brag your greatness to.

Another read he took was from Pyrrha Nikos, the ''Invencible Girl''. She was strong, not enough to completely keep up with him and his Semblance, but enough to maybe stand up to him. Another was Weiss, she wasn't as strong nor talented as Pyrrha but her Semblance was versatile as she could make it to be and could serve as trouble when used in the right hands and right situation. Still, her Glyphs couldn't stand to Limitless, even if the latter was yet to reach its full potential.

Apart from that he had already spotted a lot of potential in students. Most of them had decent level and possible Semblance capabilities, useful even. There were however, only a few that had the capacity to stand up against him (If he hadn't decided to use his Semblance that is, but even after that they would only serve as a nuisance). This might prove be an entertaining experience after all.

An announcement played on the intercoms, shaking the boy out of his current thoughs.

''Would all first-year students please report to Beacon Cliff for initiation? Again, all first-year students report to Beacon Cliff immediately.''

After receiving the announcement the entire room was filled with movement as everyone hurriedly made their way to the cliff, overlooking a forest, where several students were standing on silver tiles in front of Professor Ozpin whose held a mug on his hand and Professor Glynda with her tablet.

Ozpin carefully studied one and each of every face that took a step in the tiles while Glynda stood next to him.
As each student settled, A smile adorned his face as he set himself to speak.

''For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest.'' He told them.

''Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of "teams." Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion.'' She spoke, addressing the main topic that concerned most. ''Each of you will be given teammates... today.''
