Snowflakes

Snowflakes.

Snowflakes falling,

In the pale white,

Across the rosy red,

Underneath the surface,

Dew drops falling,

Off the emerald green,

Deep golden brown,

Into nothingness,

Salt gems falling,

Off a lonely cliff,

With ice to catch it.

But what is that, to comfort?

Tearstains flowing,

Falling into the whiteness,

Into the darkness,

Into the ocean,

It is here it started,

Atop the lonely mountain,

Amongst the lonely rose,

Amidst the thrashing waves,

That was,

Love.

In the midst of all the torture,

All the pain,

All the grief,

I hear you voice!

I look, listen,

Thinking, it’s just a dream,

I hear you singing,

I feel you near.

But that can’t be,

You left me,

You went away,

And left me.

I sit on the ground,

And listen...

It’s gone now,

Your voice.

I sigh, and a tear escapes,

The wind thrashing against me,

The tree’s pushing behind me,

The waves calling for attention,

There’s your ship.

Your call

Your song,

You’re back...

But why?
