< Protagonist's POV >
I stretched my arms as I continued to lay in bed in my apartment. A bright and early morning, almost too bright. I yawned and turned to the side, my Bathroom was on display for me; so I turned the other way facing the window with my covers above my head.
It's spring again, has it been that long, I forgot. I tossed and turned before finding a comfortable position I decided to stay in.
" Luke, I'm hungry. " A certain Blue Exceed floated toward my bed.
" You ate all the fish in the fridge last night. I don't have fish today. " I yawned.
" Let's go to the Fishermen Market. " Happi suggested.
" Alright let me get dressed. " I said.
" I'll get the baths ready. " Happi jetted off into the bathroom.
Happi moved into my Apartment, and helps pay half the rent; the landlord was really generous to allow Happi to live here with me, raising the rent up 2,000 jewel was really reasonable.
Happi maybe an Exceed but she is still a girl, so we can't share the same bathtub, and so I bought one for her when she moved in.
" I wonder what kinda fish will I find ? " Happi began to drool.
I chuckled and dipped my whole head into the water to clear it up a bit. I feel at ease when I am in water, it feels soothing.
" Luke, Luke ! " Happi cried.
I jumped up, and Happi was sitting on her tub just crying.
" Sorry Happi, I was thinking, Relax. " I smiled.
" You were under the water for 10 minutes, of course I'm going to be scared.
I finished my bath along with Happi finishing her's. I changed into something light and easy; I had a bandana covering my head, my bangs still show though, a blue and black collared shirt, dark navy blue jeans, and then finished with calves high boots.
" Come on Luke. " Happi dragged me.
" Wait, I need to get my keys. " I grabbed both apartment key and my celestial key.
We walked over to the fishermen's market at this early hour, and Happi choose all the fish she wanted, while I just settles with Fish 'n chips for breakfast.
" Thank you for the food. " Happi smiled.
" Alright, time for the guild. " I said.
So we raced over to the guild, and the guild greeted us with their usual greets.
" Morning Lukkun. " Levi greeted me.
" Morning. " I smiled.
" Good morning to you Luke-san. " Wendell greeted me.
" Good morning to you too Wendell. " I said.
" Hey Luke, going on a job today ? " Grai asked naked except for her undergarments.
" Grai, your clothes. " Julio and Miran said.
" Ahh Crap. " Grai cursed only to run to find her clothes with Julio.
" Where is Erz ? " I asked looking around for our guildmaster.
" He should be in his office, Laxua is with him. " Miran said.
" Ohh, well then me and Happi are going to get a job to pay for my rent. " I smiled.
" Alright be safe. " Miran smiled before I head over to the Request board.
I looked around for some decent pay jobs. Aww jeez, not one is my quota. I guess I will have to take a few jobs.
" Luke, this is fresh off the press. Wanna take it ? " Miran asked.
Request - Vulcans have been invading our little village, please help us push the Vulcans back to their hideout in the mountains. Reward is 84,000 Jewel ?!
" Miran-san, where did you get such a lovely pay job ? " I asked with pure relief.
" I just got it right now, I have been so busy with the tavern here, I didn't have time to update. Levi normally would be helping me if he wasn't so worked up reading. " Miran looked over at the embarrassed Levi-kun.
" I'll take it. " I said gripping the flyer, " Happi ! We got a job ! "
" Aye Sa ! " Happi flew after me.
I raced home to pack, and then head over to the train station, getting ready for my rent Job.
