The Weight Of Whispers: a burden not mine to carry.

Considerate and adoring, that's all I want to be,
But some folks talk bad, it confuses the hell out of me.
Happy people don't act like that, you see,
So I kind of pity them, honestly.

They don't even know me, these strangers who frown,
Making up stories, turning my life upside down.
Things I never did, they spread lies all around,
But I literally can't let them bring someone like me down.
My name on the walls, their pain in every stall.
The pen mightier than their misery, whispers in the air,
And a fake me they created, which isn't even fair.

Let them gossip all they want, it's a silly game,
Their negativity just fuels my happy flame.
I feel sorry for them, insecure and self esteem that low,
Someday they'll find their light, watch their happiness grow.
