Y/n: For the last time... Call me Y/n. Now what's up?
Soul reaper: Captain Aizen wishes to speak to you.
I make my way to Squad five's barracks. Captain Aizen is one of the nicest men in Soul Society and we became good friends since he asked me to join his squad after becoming a soul reaper. I was originally asked to be a Lieutenant after Gin became a Captain but I turned it down since I felt Momo deserved the title more. She was the most devoted to squad five and Captain Aizen after all.
Aizen: Come in.
I entered the room.
Y/n: You asked to see me Captain?
Aizen: Yes I did. Are you aware of the news with that friend of yours? Rukia, I believe her name was.
Y/n: Yeah that's her and no I haven't heard from her since she went for the world of the living on her assignment.
Aizen: Well then... I'm afraid I have to tell you some bad news. Rukia has been accused of committing treason.
Y/n: What?
Aizen: They sent her brother and his lieutenant to get her. I'm afraid they will execute her for what she did.
Y/n: And what exactly did she do?
Aizen: She turned a human boy into a substitute soul reaper.
Y/n: you can't be serious? Why would she do that? There had to be a reason.
Aizen: If there was I'm afraid I don't know it. I'm sorry, Y/n... I tried to plead for her case but central 46 has made up their minds on the matter.
Y/n: Thank you Captain... May I be excused?
Aizen: Not just yet... There is something else.
Y/n: What is it Captain?
Aizen: Gin... I'm worried he's up to something.
Y/n: what do you mean Captain?
Aizen: He was pushing for the stealth force to find out why Rukia hasn't returned, as well as worked to convince Central 46 to execute her.
Y/n: Why would he do something like that?!
Aizen: I don't know but I intend to find out... Now you may go.
Y/n: Thank you, Captain.
As I walk out my mind is racing with thoughts and questions. How could this have happened? Who is the boy Rukia turned into a soul reaper? Why would Gin want her dead?
Lost in my own thoughts I bump into someone.
Rangiku: Hey watch out Y/n.
Y/n: S-sorry Rangiku. I have a lot on my mind and wasn't paying attention.
Rangiku: It's about Rukia right? I heard from my Captain. You okay?
Y/n: Hm... Rukia is one of my closest friends. I was the last person to see her before she left too. It all doesn't make sense to me.
Suddenly I feel my head get pulled into Rangiku's chest as she pulls me into a tight hug.
Rangiku: Oh you poor thing don't worry everything will be fine you'll see.
Realizing the situation I'm in I can't help but turn red as a tomato.
???: Let him go Matsumoto.
Rangiku: Oh hey Captain. *Let's go of me*
