Juliette was pleasantly surprised, she'll admit it. Surprised because the next few mornings, she hadn't woken up in the bed in her one-bedroom apartment that she had in America. Pleased, because that meant she had truly reincarnated into one of her favorite manhuas and because she could, therefore, live comfortably with Jennette as fate guided her in this new universe.
Because that's what always happens, right? Someone gets reincarnated into a fantasy novel, they try to escape or adjust where their story heads, and eventually get a future better than they could have ever hoped for in any previous plan.
So what would change for Juliette? Why would she be the exception to this repeated pattern?
Still, it'd be responsible to exclude herself from any parties she may have to attend with Jennette so as to stay clear of the murderous emperor. Juliette liked her new life so far, being tended to by nannies who were at her and her sister's every whine and call, no longer having to wake up every morning with the realization that she had to attend yet another day of her five to nine job, and much, much more, thank you very much.
"What's wrong, my lady?" Mary —Juliette's nanny— questions the fussy young royal, furrowing her eyebrows as she finishes folding one of the sheets to their tiny crib, turning her attention toward Juliette. The jeweled eyed baby in question ignored Mary, gaze dead set on the little ball of dark magic that was Jennette.
Now that the girl thought about it, Juliette's future may or may not rely on whether she can build a close enough relationship with Jennette, depending on which novel she reincarnated into. Should she have come into 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴, all she really needed to do was be a good sister to the ticking time bomb next to her. On the other hand, if she hadn't reincarnated into '𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴' and instead '𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘔𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘔𝘦 𝘢 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴?', she was essentially screwed- if she couldn't somehow get in contact with Athanasia.
Because c'mon, let's be honest. In 𝘞𝘔𝘔𝘈𝘗, the only chance that anyone had even the slightest hope of surviving the story if they were of high ranking nobility and insulted Athanasia was if they were on the princess' good side. If this universe was actually 𝘞𝘔𝘔𝘈𝘗, Juliette feared that even if she chose to stay in the Alpheus mansion for the rest of her life, she still wouldn't be safe. Since obviously, there would come a time where the two of them would absolutely have to reveal themselves to high society (aka, the princess's debutante, maybe).
All this confusion and light stress made her tiny body feel overwhelmed, causing her feelings to overflow due to not having the physical mental capacity to control them.
