"I don't wanna go to school!" Briar whines, planting her feet to the ground so her mother has to drag her out the door.

"You need to go to school." Natalie says.

"Why can't Uncle Sammy just homeschool us or something?" She whines.

"Because he has a job now. He can't do teacher and homeschool." Natalie says.

"Wasn't hunting a job?" Briar remarks.

"Yes, but he has an actual job. One that pays and supports his family or whatever. Just like your dad and I do." Natalie says.

"I'm actually looking forward to going to school." Justin says.

"Yeah, cause you're a nerd." Briar rolls her eyes.

Justin shoves Briar and she shoves him back, the two getting into a fight.

"Hey, hey, hey! Break it up!" Natalie breaks them apart. "Break it up. Enough. You guys are going to school, that's final."

"But it's so fuc--"

"Briar Samantha." Natalie gives her twelve year old daughter a warning look.

Briar glares, quietly growling and she stomps to the car, slamming the door shut after she gets in.

"Feel your feelings, baby! You go, girl!" Natalie yells out.

"What?" Justin gives his mother a weird look.

"It's not perfect, but she's not hitting anybody. You guys are tweens, we still gotta work on healthy emotional release." Natalie says. "In the car, bud."

"Just never say "you go, girl" again." Justin shivers.

"I will say whatever I want, young man." Natalie tells him. "Okay? I am an adult, I can do that. And it caused you no harm."

"Except emotional scarring." Justin mutters.

"Okay, drama queen." Natalie rolls her eyes, shutting his door after he gets in and she gets in the driver's seat.

"And then you do that and that's how you get that." Jacob explains.

"You're a dork." Briar tells her father, pushing the math book away from her.

"Yeah, a dork who is helping you." Jacob says, pushing the math book closer to her.

"Can't you just do it for me?" The fourteen year old whines.

"Nope. That's cheating."

"And the issue with that would be...?"

"Baby, look, I know it's hard, but... you'll need it later in life. Trust me."

"When?"

"Well..." Jacob struggles to come up with an example.

"Yeah, no, it appears to be very useful." Briar rolls her eyes.

"Let's just get through tonight, okay? We can worry about the rest of your life later." Jacob says.

"Yes!" Justin exclaims, grinning, as the volcano for his science fair successfully goes off.

"How in the hell did you... what the...?" Jacob stares in shock at however his son got that to work.

"Cool, right?" Justin grins.

"Yeah. Yeah, no, man, it's amazing." Jacob says. "I'm proud of you."

"Thanks." Justin smiles, starting to reset and clean up.
