Reign's Revenge

Chapter One

   "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn," he said as he pushed me into one of the many bookshelves and plunged the now broken beer bottle into my stomach. His features looked sharp and murderous as the moonlight illuminated his face, the only source of light in the dark room.

    Was this the end? Was this how I was going to die; by a ruthless monster who took everything I ever loved away from me?

   In order for you to understand, I have to go back to the beginning, back to the night it all started.

   "It's starting to storm out, where is she?" I heard my mother say as I ran through the forest, desperately trying to reach my family to warn them of what was coming.

   "Honey, she's 16 now, she is responsible enough to take care of herself," my father replied, I'm almost there, just keep running, keep running.

   I heard footsteps as I neared my family, and I heard my brother, Daniel, "What are you guys doing out here? The gala is starting! Come on, we don't want to be late!"

   Lightning stuck as I ran out of the forest, trying to make words come out of my mouth never felt so hard. "He's coming! He's coming!" I screamed while holding the only piece of cloth that covered my bare and abused body.

   "Scarlet, what's happened to you! Who's coming! Scarlet, say something!" Daniel shouted at me, my mind paralyzed with fear.

 "He... He raped me..." I managed to spit out.

   "Oh puh-lease darling, don't use those harsh words. By the way, Alpha Pierce, your daughter is phenomenal in bed," said a voice coming out of the woods.

   "How dare you!" Daniel lunged at the mad man, trying to defend my already shattered honour.

   Not a sound was heard other that the snapping of a neck, of Daniel's neck. As his body lay limp on the ground, my mother fell to his side and screamed, "My Daniel! My son! What have you done!"

   "Alpha Elias, what have you done! What is the meaning of this, I hope you know by murdering the future Alpha of my pack-- my son, and raping my daughter you have started a war!" My father seethed. 

   "Well, Alpha Pierce, I gave your daughter two options. Either comply and satisfy me or refuse my demands and have her family be murdered. Turns out, your beloved Scarlet is a selfish one."

   The next few hours were a blur. My dad attacked the so called Alpha Elias and they were at each others throats. The last thing I remember was chaos as people dropped dead, one by one. My mother hid me in my fathers study, promising I would be safe.

   That was the last promise she ever made.

   Here I stood 3 years later, the place where everything I ever knew was taken from me all because of one stupid mistake.
