IFE

It was still the same.
The looks. The noise. The people. The smell.

Nothing changed.
Then again, nothing was meant to.
I mean, we were only home for a couple of months.

I was on my way to the halls due to the impromptu assembly called on by our ever noble General Bassey.
He obviously wants to properly welcome us back and assure us that there will be no  attacks and killings no more.

Which made me think if those who died.
How on earth did they break it to their parents? They obviously had to have given that they had sent the remaing students back home.

This school is centred and was built on rotten skeletons.
Different skeletons representing different crimes. All which the school had been a partaker of, directly or indirectly.

The lies, the killings, the killer. The way they just get away with everything and make it seem like nothing happened.

It was all very blurry for me. The picture is not clear enough.

Something was definitely up. Like some kind of revelation the school is desperately trying to stop from happening.
It was quite obvious and pretty evident that every teacher on the school was involved in this too.
The impromptu teacher's meeting had quite a lot to say about this.

This problem didn't just start from no where.
Something must have triggered it.

It may seem as though someone has discovered the bones beneath the school and is already with a shovel in place.

I just have to dig faster. Use it to my benefit.

But first, i need to uncover who I'm up against.
I have a feeling that i just know who that person is.

AMINA

Amar has been MIA since we got back.
She's has not been in the class, behind the bleachers, attended the meetings and visited the auditorium.

Don't know why it bothered me, but i just couldnr shake off the feeling that something was wrong somewhere.
It just wasn't adding up.

It's been days since we got back. In as much as she was a senior in the school and she was already eighteeen, she couldn't really leave until a verdict was given on her case.

I was already halfway to the library when i caught sight of Mr. Taiye back build, Amar's guardian, making his way to the principal's office.

I walked towards him increasing my pace seeing as he was in such a hurry.

"Mr. Taiye! Mr. Taiye!! Sir!"

He jolted up in shock as i made contact with his shoulders.

I was confused by the reaction seeing  that the hallway was no where noisy as students were out for recess.

"Oh, Amina. What can i do for you? Is there any problem?"

"Um... no, not at all. It's just, um, Amar. She hasn't been in school since we got back and.." His expression showed one of anxiousness but it was gone as quick as it came. It was almost as if i imagined it.
".. I was wondering if she was okay."

"Well, er, Ms..."

"Adegoke"

"Ms. Adegoke, i really cant release so much information on this matter.
But i can assure you that Ms. Amar is hale and hearty. You need not worry. She'll be back before you know it. Okay?."

"Okay..."

"Good. Now if there's nothing else..."

"Oh. No no no. Just that. Thank you. "
