The Deadly Flower

ALPHA! Vanta | OMEGA! Zali | OMEGA! Wilson

Zali jumped off the boat, sniffing the air. "I missed this place." Zali said to himself.
"Wow Zali, you weren't kidding when you said you wiped your ass with them crystal monsters. There's none here!" Vanta exclaimed with a chuckle.
"I didn't say 'I wiped my ass'! That's so immature!" Zali growled.

Wilson rolled eyes, before looking out at the destroyed town. "So you lived here?"
"Yeah, although it used to be much prettier..." Zali said, putting his hand over the feather he wore, which belonged to his fallen sister many years ago.
"It's alright Zali." Vanta said, putting his arm over Zali.

Zali walked further into the ruins of his hometown, reminiscing in all the memories he had there.
"Hey, what are these?" Wilson asked, reaching out to touch a vibrant blue flower sticking out of the ground.
"Wilson no!" Zali yelped, the bandages around him coming to life as the whisked Wilson up, and away from the flowers.
"Those are nighthowlers, they shouldn't even still be here...and they're not safe either, to touch or smell" Zali scolded Wilson.
"Vanta's touching them, and he seems fine." Wilson said, pointing to Vanta who was standing by another patch of them, and had his back turned to them.

"Wilson, go back to the boat. Now." Zali said, pointing to the boat.
"Why? They're just flowers Zali!" Wilson protested.
"They're not just flowers! They can make people and animals go feral, as in back to their primal instincts." Zali explained, still pointing to the boat.
"I can handle Vanta. You just focus on getting to safety."
Wilson nodded, running toward the boat, but staying close enough to watch.

Zali slowly crept towards Vanta, the bandages around him coming back to life as they shot the flower away from Vanta, and tied him up on the ground.
"Calm down, don't let the their pollen get to your head, Vanta." Zali said softly and calmly.
Vanta broke out of the bandages with ease, and threw Zali in the flowers.
Zali rolled out of the flowers, and slid under Vanta's legs, running towards Wilson.
"Zali!" Wilson yelped in fright.
"It's ok Wilson! My body isn't affected that bad by nighthowlers! Get in the boat! Now!" Zali yelled towards Wilson who complied and hid inside the boat, watching from the window below the deck.

Vanta growled and roared at Zali, who growled and roared back as crystals started sprouting all over his body.
Zali roared louder than Vanta, which made him retreated backwards a little.
Zali huffed, looking at Wilson.
"There's a bottle in my suitcase, it should be orange. Toss it to me." Zali said to Wilson, who immediately found the bottle and tossed it to Zali.

Vanta started to charge as Zali with full force.
Zali threw the bottle at Vanta but...it did nothing?
"Well 🦭" Zali said, bracing himself with his bandages, which just broke on impact...
