Kialiya POV -
I wake up with a stretch and get dressed, some black jeans, a black long sleeve that is body fitting, my black combat boots, and I braid my ginger hair.
I walk into the hall as the speakers for the entire 6 story apartment-like building goes off and an announcement goes off. "All units without an assignment please make your way to the auditorium!" I sigh and think 'Finally' I have been without an assignment for about a month and it has been very boring, just training everyday, but on the bright side I have been able to read so many more books.
I walk to the first floor with all the buildings community things, the training room, the gym/workout room, the auditorium, the kitchen/cafeteria for everyone, the lobby, the offices for the elite members, a big pool in the back yard, beyond the building in the back is a very large forest that is on the edge of town, and a library.
Some people could think of the community as a school at first, they may think of the rooms on all the higher floors as dorms, the higher the room the longer you have to be with the community. I have one of few rooms on the highest floor for I have been with them for most of my life.
I enter the auditorium and sit in the back. The director, Miss Dilani, enters onto the stage and starts talking. "Ok, we have a very important assignment that, as much as we would love to tell you guys and let you guys choose if you want to take it, is too important so we made the choice on who is taking it, Kialiya, come up, take this paper and go to my office, I will explain more about the assignment when I get there" I raise my brows as the director explains and then I walk up when I hear my name. 'Not that surprised' I thought to myself.
I am sitting in the directors office for a half hour, or at least it feels, before she finally enters. "Kialiya dear, you know all the royal issues that are happening, right?" I look at her with an eyebrow raised. "Yes, what is this assignment?" The Miss Dilani chuckles a little. "Dear, I'm getting to that, patience, like I've taught you, I know you're excited for an assignment finally but be calm." I stifle an embarrassed chuckle. "Sorry Ma'am." She gives me a soft, amused smile.
"So anyways, you know the king and some of his relatives, a lot of them, are very bad for the kingdom and they are destroying it?" I nod my head and she continues. "We have been contacted and asked if we could kill them, to make sure this kingdom doesn't fall, You will be watching the royal family and eliminate the threats to the kingdom, they think they are invincible and they believe they can destroy all these homes and families lives but they are not getting away with it." I nod. "How will I be allowed in the castle and to be watching them all?" She hands me a list of jobs I could do within the castle to pick from.
The list says: Kings personal servant - Definite no Queens personal servant - Doesn't sound fun Princes personal servant - Sounds Truamatizing Princesses personal servant - The sweet girl? Maybe Gardener - I do love nature and plants Knights training - Might be fun Maid - No thanks Stable maid - Possibly, I do love animals Horse trainer - Horses are amazing Kings personal guard - No thanks, he's a target, can't protect a target Queens personal guard - She could be like the king Princes personal guard - He may try down grading me Princesses personal guard - I would love to protect the young girl!
I look at her. "I think I might go with being the princesses guard, could I get the details for that?" Miss Dilani hands me another paper. It entails.
Princess personal guard: Will go everywhere with the princess and your room will be across the hall from the princess. Has to know how to use at least one weapon. Has to pass all the questions asked by the Queen and the Prince may ask some as well. The princess must like you as well. There may be a trail run for a week to see if you do good before it is fully decided.
I smile. "It shouldn't be hard, I'll try to go for this job!" I get up from the chair I was sitting in and went to my room to get ready for my assignment.
***The next morning***
I woke up and brushed out my hair, rebraiding it and change into the same outfit as yesterday except instead of a long sleeved shirt I chose a T-shirt and and wearing a black jeans material jacket with a hood.
I walk down to the lobby and see Miss Dilani. "Hey Miss, I'm about to leave for the castle." She smiles and hands me a bag. "Take this, it has essentials for settling in at the castle." I give her a smile. "I didn't know I needed anything else but what I packed, thank you, I'll see you when I get back."
With that I give her a hug and go outside to my vehicles. I debate a moment on my truck or motorcycle and decide on my motorcycle.
