1st story

So this story was a final I had to do this year, it's random but it's pretty cool imo! Hope you enjoy it :p  (I wrote this but it's copied from a Google docs that I did the project on bc Google classroom)
Mythix

Melodi was woken up by the sound of something hitting the floor of their cave, they jolted awake to see Kipu brushing dirt from his feathers. “Melodi it's noon wake up. We have things to do around the forest.” Melodi groans and gets up, stretching and fixing their makeshift bed.
“Oh right! Kipu, does Elder Vaylleolon need us to gather some fruit for dinner?” Kipu nods and then flies out of Melodi’s cave, leaving them to get ready. After Kipu leaves Melodi morphs into their human form, and then they leave their cave bumping into Cinnamon, one of the satyrs.
“Well it seems Kipu got you up didn't he?” Melodi nods and picks up their flower crown, pulling it over their ears and then walking off to find Elder Villalon. Meanwhile, in Elder Vaylleolon’s den, the elder dragon and the oldest in the forest sit waiting for the kitsunes' arrival.
“Ah, there you are Melodi, please come in dear.” Elder Vaylleolon smiles, one of her talons waving kindly at Melodi.
“ Elder Vaylleolon, do you by chance know if the pond spirits will be joining us for dinner tonight? Because if it’s needed I can get some of their food while I'm out getting fruits and things for our meal!”
Elder Vaylleolon nods and stands up, handing Melodi a few lists with names on them. “A list for you, Kipu, Cinnamon, and Illumine. But Illumine must be accompanied while getting her items,” says Elder Vaylleolon. “I know, I know she could panic and set the forest ablaze, you tell me this every time Miss!” Melodi reminds Elder Vaylleolon. As Melodi leaves the den, they bump into Astelle the nymph.
“Oh, hello Melodi. It’s so wonderful to see you out and about.” Astelle states before handing Melodi some flower bracelets. Melodi thanks Astelle before going to a very burnt tree and knocking on it. “Illumine? Are you awake yet?” Melodi questions before seeing a flash of red, orange, and yellow fly down the tree.
“Melodi, do we get to go run errands today?” Illumine shouts before accidentally setting a bit of the grass ablaze, so Melodi quickly stomps it out. “Yep, you and I have to stick together alright, Elder Vaylleolon says so,” Melodi responds to Illumine's question. Illumine then flies back up to her tree to grab her special heat-resistant bags, as Melodi is startled by Naoko, one of the many bakenekos to live in the area. “Hello Naoko, how are you today?” Melodi questions, before smiling at their closest friend.
“I am quite well today,” Naoko responds quietly to Melodi’s usual question, and she proceeds to walk off as Illumine finally is ready and stands next to Melodi. Kipu walks up to Melodi and Illumine with Cinnamon following behind.
“Elder Vaylleolon said we need to collect things for the banquet with everyone in the Nebula Moon, and yes Illumine that means the unicorns,” Kipu remarks, staring at Illumine who now looks upset. “and we need to bring lots of water nectarines, sun kumquat, and star ceriman. For the silkies and kelpies.” Once Kipu finishes speaking Melodi hands him his list, and hands Cinnamon their list. Illumine sits on the branch of a raven sumac tree, looking bored.
“So who has to babysit me this time?” She grumbles looking at the other 3. “Oh right, Kipu it's your turn to watch her alright?” Melodi asks Kipu and he just nods. The four look at their lists, the handwriting of Elder Vaylleolon’s trusted helper the elf Amara. The lists are different for everyone, Melodi looks at their list and it reads
“ Melodi, please get ten sun kumquat, twenty glowing red milk cap mushrooms, ten pine custard berries, and four sprigs tundra clove.” Kipu’s list says “Kipu, get five water nectarines, four star ceriman, ten fire kiwi, twenty eight blood guava, and seven sprigs of star tyme.” Cinnamon’s list states “Cinnamon, please get three dragon ginger, five river spore, twenty one spring vanilla, four summer cinnamon, five rain curry leaves, and two sprigs of love peppermint.” While Illumine’s list only says “five stacks of wood and ten buckets of water.” Illumine huffs at her list, seemingly insulted by it. “Why am I only ever allowed to get wood and water, it's not fair!”
Cinnamon calmly explains to Illumine “You are younger than all of us, and you are still getting acquainted with your fire so Elder Vaylleon is just giving you simpler tasks. We promise it is not meant to be insulting to you.” Illumine squawks back “I don't need to be treated like a child!” In Illumine’s anger, she sets the raven sumac tree branch on fire. Suddenly the fire is absorbed into the wood because all but about 2 species of trees in the Nebula Moon are resistant to most harm. Kipu looks up from his list “Alright! We should all be done with our lists in an hour or so. Let us get started.” The other 3 nods and Cinnamon leaves, heading to the field. “Kipu Illumine have fun!” Melodi squeaks happily as Kipu and Illumine leave, heading to the mountains. Melodi begins to wander into the forest, to get the mushrooms off of the list Amara gave them. “Red milk cap is near the crystal nest path. The gnomes should know where they are, and I can make sure that the gnomes remember the banquet tonight!” Melodi talks to themself as they walk down a path until they see some stones with jade in them. “Beautiful..” They mumble under their breath when they suddenly hear a familiar voice
“Hey, Melodi watch out!”. Before Melodi can react they slip on a stick and fall. “Melodi are you alright?” Melodi looks down to see Clebbli, the gnome. “Yes I'm fine Celbbli I only slipped on a stick.” Celbbli gets into Melodi’s hand as they stand up. “Clebbli, have you seen any glowing red milk caps or tundra cloves out here?” Clebbli nods and points to a shaded area with a pink, red, and white hue coming from it. “Over there, Reggie has been tending to them all year just for tonight's banquet, he is very excited about seeing you and the others again. He has been protecting the mushrooms for a while,” Clebbli yells happily so Melodi can hear her. “I know, it's quite exciting seeing how everyone will be there, and I get to see the other kitsune from my shimmer. It's going to be quite wonderful, won't it?” Melodi asks Clebbli, and Clebbli nods in agreement as Melodi makes their way over to the glowing red milk caps. Melodi gets to the glowing red milk caps and sees Reggie giving the mushrooms some gnome plant powder. “Reggie, I’m here for some of the glowing red milk caps, Amara said I need to get those and tundra clove, you grow those correct?” Melodi questions as they sit on the ground.
“Hello Melodi, yes yes I know you're here for the glowing reds, but tundra clove? What are you making with tundra clove?” Reggie responds sleepily. “Amara said I needed to collect some. May I pick some mushrooms, Reggie?” Melodi inquired. “You can Melodi, but they are very fragile,” Reggie warns. Melodi nods opens their bag grabs her basket, and then removes their bag. Melodi then sets down their basket and becomes their kitsune fox form and they begin to pick some of the mushrooms. Melodi gathers the twenty glowing red milk caps they needed, carefully putting them in the padded basket, trying not to break them. “These are amazing mushrooms,” Melodi mumbles with a large glowing red cap in their snout, as they set it inside the basket. “I'm quite proud of how they turned out this year, this is the biggest they have gotten in quite a long time!” Reggie beams, looking quite proud of himself. Melodi finishes gathering the glowing red milk caps, and then they look over at Reggie. “Where do I get tundra clove?” Melodi questioned. Reggie informs them that they are in Vauxnola Cove. Melodi then starts to make their way to Vauxnola Cove.
Meanwhile, Kipu and Illumine are in the City of Whispers looking for blood guava. “Why do we have to find blood guava? It is dangerous!” Illumine squawked before Kipu hushed her. “Shh.. I hear something.” Suddenly Illumine feels a cold gust of wind, making her shiver. “D-did you f-feel that?” Illumine stutters, looking quite shaken up. “Be quiet, your fine Illumine.” Kipu protests, seemingly trying to focus, since the City of Whispers is full of fog. Illumine walks slowly, following behind Kipu, then she picks up a stick and she sets it on fire and holds it with her beak. Kipu finds a non mythical mouse, and he picks it up. “Oh, yum” Kipu comments before going silent. Illumine cant clearly see Kipu, but she hears him chewing. “Kipu did you just eat a mouse again..?” Illumine mumbles with the stick still in her mouth. Kipu doesn't respond, but he does stop in his tracks. “Look Illumine! Blood guava.” Illumine looks amazed at the blood willow tree, covered in beautiful pink blood guava. Illumine starts walking to the tree just to get her wing grabbed by Kipu’s beak. “Stop! Be cautious. Blood willows only grow where nymphs live, and they are easily startled okay..” Kipu warns, before releasing Illumines wing. Illumine looks at Kipu and she huffs, seemingly angry at Kipu. Kipu opens his bag and hands Illumine some star berry extract and hands it to her. “... Apology accepted.” Illumine huffs. Kipu and Illumine then cautiously approach the blood willow tree, not trying to wake up the nymphs. Illumine lands on a branch of the blood willow and she puts out the fire on the stick she had, as she begins to pick the twenty eight blood guava that they needed. She puts them into Kipu’s storage bag in layers. “Why do you think we need to pick this many blood guavas? Is elder vaylleolon making blood guava jelly again?” Illumine questions, keeping her voice at a soft whisper. “I don't know what she is doing with it Illumine, just pick the twenty eight we need so we can go.” Kipu states in a bland soft whisper. Illumie rolls her eyes and continues to pick the blood guava, making sure to be silent. Quickly, Illumine finishes picking the blood guava, and she slowly gives Kipu the basket, making sure not to be too loud. “Thank you Illumine,” Kipu whispers to Illumine, making sure to stay quiet. Illumine nods, then she slowly makes her way off of the blood willow branch she was perched on, and she lands quietly on the ground. Illumine and Kipu now slowly make their way out of the City of Whispers, making sure that they do not wake up the nymphs.
Illumine looks at Kipu’s list again once they are out of the City of Whispers. “We need to go and get four star ceriman from the Void field,” Illumine reminds Kipu. They both then begin to walk to the void field.
While Melodi, Illumine, and Kipu are gathering their ingredients, Cinnamon is standing in the river picking water spore, but with no luck. “Ugh! This is hopeless! I've been here for thirty minutes or longer, I need a net but of course I forget my net the one time I need it!” Cinnamon angrily says to herself before just scooping up a bottle of water and river spores. Cinnamon then begins to walk to the nebula woods where the spring vanilla grows. Cinnamon finds a vine of spring vanilla climbing all over a red starry nebula tree. “Jackpot!” she says to herself excitedly, before she begins to pick the twenty one spring vanilla beans she needs to complete her list. While she is counting she begins to notice how quiet the nebula woods are today, and how no Kitsunes have bothered her. But she ignores it  believe that the kitsunes are just busy preparing for tonight, because it is a very important banquet for everyone in Nebula moon. Cinnamon continues to pick the spring vanilla, until she has all twenty one spring vanilla beans. Then suddenly without warning Hoshi, who is one of the only kitsunes Melodi has talked to in months jumped onto Cinnamon playfully.
“Hello Cinnamon!” The excited kitsune squeaks before nuzzling against Cinnamon’s arm. “Oh, hello Hoshi, I haven't seen you since the last time you visited Melodi. How are you?” Cinnamon inquires, before closing her bag, making sure the jar of river spores are secure. “Can I come with you Cinnamon, I really want to help but the other kitsunes say I’m not allowed to help!” Hoshi whines angrily before sitting on the ground. Cinnamon nods, picking up her bag and putting it on her shoulder. Hoshi jumps up, almost falling into a bush. “Hoshi are you alright?” Cinnamon asks, concerned “I’m alright!” Hoshi reassures Cinnamon. Cinnamon and Hoshi begin to wander off to go collect the five rain curry leaves from Sagna Forest. Hoshi finds the rain curry leaves, on one of theGray Multiflora Inkberry curry trees.
“Wow, rain curry leaves! We found them!” Hoshi squeaks before she sits down on the ground. “Yeah, thank you for helping Hoshi, do you want to pick the leaves?” Cinnamon questions before she can look down at Hoshi, she is already picking some rain curry leaves. “We only need five of the rain curry leaves Hoshi,” Cinnamon reminds Hoshi, and she nods. After collecting the five rain curry leaves that Elder Vaylleolon wanted Cinnamon to collect.
With Melodi they had already collected the ten sun kumquat and four tundra clove Elder Vaylleolon needed them to get. Now they were on the way to the edge of the forest to collect the ten pine custard berries from the speckled reed bushes. As they are fumbling through the bushes, trying to avoid the sharp brambles that the bush grows.
“Stupid Bushes, Guys get the safety gear, it's sharp.” An unknown voice calls out. Melodi, still in their fox form hides in the bushes in an area with no sharp brambles. Melodi cautiously watched through the bushes trying to see what creature was speaking. Without warning Melodi sees that there are humans trying to come into Nebula Moon. Into the last remaining magic empire. Without thinking Melodi lets out a low growl, making whoever made the noises away. Melodi carefully picks the pine custard berries before grabbing their bags and darting as quick as they can back to Elder Vaylleolon’s cave, making sure to hold onto her bag tightly.
“Elder Vaylleolon, where is Elver Vaylleolon?!” Melodi asks Amara, with a great sense of urgency.
“Oh, well I believe she is in the Jade Sanctuary with the other dragons. Datyrai, Noros, and a few others. Why has something happened?” Amara responds, looking at Melodi with a concerned look. “No time to explain.” Melodi quickly responds before handing Amara her bag of ingredients and running to the Jade Sanctuary.
As Melodi enters the Jade Sanctuary they overhear Aylu, Elder Vaylleolon’s younger sibling question if the banquet is a good idea, seeing how the unicorns and phoenixes are not on the best terms. Melodi enters the center of the cave, seeing Elder Vaylleolon nod to Aylu. “Elder Vaylleolon, I need to speak with you, it is urgent.” Elder Vaylleolon looks over at Melodi, before motioning for Melodi to come over to her. “What is wrong Melodi, are you injured?” Elder Vaylleolon questions. “No. I was collecting pine custard berries for the stone yogurt bonbons, and I heard a human, ask for another to get safety gear,” Melodi responds “Did the human see you.” Elder Vaylleolon questions, with urgency in her tone. “No, I was lying at the bottom of the bush to avoid the thorns,” Melodi assures Elder Vaylleolon. All the dragons whisper to each other about what we will need to do. “What did you see while you were by this bush, Melodi?” Elder Vaylleolon questions. “I saw some sort of construction vehicles, but that is all. I’m hoping they were just trimming the bramble back..” Melodi informs Elder Vaylleolon.
Meanwhile Cinnamon and Hoshi return with all of the items from their list. “Amara, have you seen Kipu and Illumine or Melodi?” Cinnamon asks Amara, seeing how she is preparing to start cooking for the banquet. “Oh, yes Melodi has returned. They are inside the Jade Sanctuary speaking with Elder Vaylleolon and the other head dragons.” Amara responds to Cinnamon, “I’m not sure what they are speaking about, but it must be urgent, Melodi seemed quite worried.” Amara takes Cinnamon’s bag of ingredients and sets it next to Melodi’s.
Before this, Kipu and Illumine were inside the galactia springs, looking for star tyme. “Kipu it's been over an hour, im not sure there is any star tyme here, it was probably already picked by the Imps, they never leave anything-” Illumine started to say before she was cut off by Kipu. “I found it! Look it's under the oldest fire-spark wood tree, why don't you go pick up some wood since these trees burn for a while?” Kipu directed Illumine. She nods and picks up any fallen branches of the fire-spark tree, while Kipu collects the seven star tyme he needs, but he made sure to only pick ones that Amara and the other elves could work with. Now, Kipu and Illumine enter into their home, seeing Cinnamon and Amara talking, Kipu comes and delivers his and Illumines ingredients. Kipu overhears Amara talking to Cinnamon about Melodi looking very worried when they returned.
With Elder Vaylleolon, the other head dragons, and Melodi there are many voices speaking at once. Many ideas echo throughout the Jade Sanctuary, Melodi hearing the dragons coming up with ideas such as just getting rid of the humans, creating a wall around Nebula Moon. “Everyone Silence. I can not hear myself think.” Elder Vaylleolon grumbles before standing up, shaking the jade table Melodi is sitting on. “Melodi, come on. We must inform the others.” Elder Vaylleolon commands, looking back at the head dragons “Siblings, warn your territories and the creatures living inside them to keep guard. Pairducryd, Please tell the gargoyles to keep watch around the edge of the forest, alright.” Pairducryd nods, and the rest of the head dragons nod in agreement.
Elder Vaylleolon lets Melodi climb onto her head, before leaving the Jade Sanctuary. “Amara, signal the meeting bell.” orders Elder Vaylleolon. Amara opens up a bag, grabbing a goat horn, blowing into it, making a loud buzzing noise. Within minutes all the creatures that are under Elder Vaylleolon’s protection are around Amara, Elder Vaylleolon and Melodi.
“My friends, whilst Melodi was out collecting ingredients for tonight's banquet, they came across a human at the edge of our last remaining haven. This may be a sign of the human race breaking their oath, again. Every quadrant of Nebula Moon are being informed, we will have the most trusted gargoyles on watch of the edge of the forest at all times. For now we must just focus on enjoying the banquet.” Elder Vaylleolon informs the creatures of quadrant 1. Quiet murmurs and whispers fill the air, a sign of concern around the quadrant. “Everyone, it will be fine, nothing bad will happen I’m sure of it.” Elder Vaylleolon reassures the cluster of creatures.
After Elder Vaylleolon receives verification from the other 9 quadrants of Nebula Moon, she informs Amara to begin cooking. Within minutes every elf from quadrant 1 are all scrambling around, cooking, and preparing other things for the banquet. Suddenly an older elf named Nyana approaches Elder Vaylleolon informing her that the food will be done in around twenty minutes. Elder Vaylleolon nods, before handing a fairy named Luparia 9 letters, each for one of the other 9 head dragons inviting them and their quadrants to quadrant 1 since it has usable land for all creatures. Soon one by one quadrants 2 through 9 make their way to quadrant 1. The first dragon to appear is Pairducryd with his gargoyles, orcs, gnomes, and other stone creatures. Then Aylu appears with the many aquatic creatures. Dizelth enters through the river, with her many river spirits and other ghosts. Soon follows Ita, with her creatures of the ice, along with her twin brother Rytays who brings phoenixes and other creatures of fire. Then Ccino, the keeper of the bakenekos, kitsunes, nekomatas, tanukis, and any fuzzy mythical creatures appears. Following behind Ccino are Loto and Pozo, guardians of nymphs and other forest creatures. Finally, the youngest, Neiray approaches with his imps, goblins, windigos, and other feared mythical creatures.
Melodi goes back to her cave knocking on the makeshift wooden door. “Yue, I know it's early, but the banquet is about to begin and I don't believe you would want to miss seeing the other tanukis,” Melodi states to the sleepy raccoon dog.
“Five more more minutes…” grumbles Yue. Melodi rolls her eyes and picks up the small tanuki, shaking her awake. “I'm up I’m up stop shaking me!” Yue groans, using her paws to push away from Melodi, as she lands on the ground leaving the cave to go join the others in the banquet.
The banquet goes on for at least a few hours, before suddenly without warning one of the gargoyles who is supposed to be watching the edge of the forest flies down to Pairducryd.
“Sir! I've come to report that the humans are beginning to enter Nebula Moon. Inid has already reported to me and Unarr about humans using some sort of machine to cut down the pine custard berry bushes. I’m afraid to say this may be war.” Aneer, the head of the gargoyles reports to Pairducryd. Pairducryd nods, looking over at Elder Vaylleolon and Neiray.
“Shall we prepare the military, my siblings?” Pairducryd questions, looking over at the creatures Neiray cares for looking ready to prepare for a battle. Elder Vaylleolon nods, followed by the other head dragons. Without warning Pairducryd calls out to his creatures, and Neiray does the same. The many strong creatures Pairducryd and Neiray have combined seem to be quite a lot.
“Are you sure that they just aren't aware of the treaty…?” Mumbles Ccino, not wanting to start a conflict with the humans again. “It may be a possibility, Ccino would you mind if we sent a kitsune to tell them to stop?” Elder Vaylleolon asks. “I would be okay with it.” Ccino agrees quietly, “But do we even have a copy of the treaty?” Elder Vaylleolon nods, calling over Amara, who opens a small magic orb that then becomes a piece of metal only found in Nebula Moon. “Here you are miss Vaylleolon, the treaty,” Amara states, handing the large dragon the metal tablet. “Ccino, do you have a specific kitsune you would like to take on this rather important task?” Elder Vaylleolon asks Ccino. “Not really... Melodi could do it since they found the humans..” Ccino responds still very quiet. Elder Vaylleolon looks over to Melodi, who looks up at Ccino. “I can do it,” Melodi responds, and then becomes her human form, and carefully takes the metal tablet from Elder Vaylleolon. “Thank you Melodi, this will help all of Nebula Moon, try not to look too suspicious my child.” Elder Vaylleolon cautions Melodi.
Melodi makes their way out of Nebula Moon, carefully approaching the humans who are cutting down the pine custard berry bushes. “Do you have a permit to cut down that plant?” Melody questions bluntly. One of the humans looks over at Melodi.
“Uhm, no we don't need permits for abandoned land?” One of them says “Actually this isn't abandoned, this is Nebula Moon the last area on the planet that is safe for mythical creatures.” Melody remarks, glaring at the humans. “Does the human school teach you no history!? Do you humans not learn about the mythical treaty?” The humans look at Melodi as if silently asking if they are insane. “Nobody has learned about that in years, how do you even know about it?” one of the Humans asks. Melodi grabs the metal tablet out of their bag and shows it to the human. “This is Nebula Moon’s treaty with the humans. You people aren't supposed to touch the Nebula Moon territory and we don't bother your territory.” Melodi growls before putting the metal tablet back into their bag. “You all better leave Nebula Moon alone. We are not losing any more of our home than we already have, because of you people.” Melodi waits for the humans to respond. “Fine we will leave Nebula Moon alone, but others may not. Some people are power hungry for land.” One of the humans tells Melodi, then says “Also you need to hide your ears better, I can tell that you aren't human.” Melodi glares at the human and mumbles “I know. I don't normally leave Nebula Moon but you guys cut down some pine custard berry bushes and scared some of the gargoyles, and don't do that they will attack you.”
Melodi then enters back into Nebula moon, making her way through many plants, and returns to Elder Vaylleolon. “Miss, they have agreed to stop cutting down the bushes, but it turns out that those human schools don't teach about the Mythical treaty.” Melodi reports, and Elder Vaylleolon replies “Don't worry, me and the other head dragons will have a chat about that with the human leaders,”
Elder Vaylleolon then calls to all the creatures that the banquet can commence once again. Within minutes everyone is chatting and eating, enjoying the night. Everyone was getting along, having fun. Before Melodi gets their food they open their bag and hands the metal treaty tablet to Amara, turning away to go back to their friends, and walking back over to the area they were all sitting at. “Hey guys, you all excited for the banquet?” Melodi asks, sitting down next to Yue and Cinnamon.
Cinnamon hands Melodi a snake, before saying “I found this little guy in a bush while I was getting some dragon ginger, and I got the others some stuff too.” Melodi looks at the snake “Thanks Cinnamon, I love snakes!” Melodi responds, then Cinnamon says that she knows.
Kipu sits there, eating some mice that the elves cooked for him, while Illumine just sits there chewing on the peel and drinking the juice of some fruit. The banquet continues and goes on for the rest of the day, with everyone bonding and seeing people they care for after a long period of time. Seeing how the head dragons are bonding after the last time they had a disagreement over to safety of Nebula Moon. Melodi looks at their friends again, happy about how Nebula Moon is safe again. Melodi looks over at Elder Vaylleolon, and smiles at her knowing everything will be alright before they notice Ccino coming over to her. “Thank you for being so helpful Melodi… It is truly amazing to see you bonding with new people, your always welcome in quadrant 2 sweetie” Ccino tells Melodi. Melodi starts smiling before hugging Ccino’s arm, since Ccino is a large dragon. “Thank you Ccino…” they mumble quietly, before smiling and heading back to their friends. Sitting back down, eating a random fruit they took off the table of food.
“So, what were you talking to Ccino about?” questions Cinnamon “Oh Just the usual, he was just checking on me again, he does that any time he sees me.” responds Melodi.  “He really cares about you, doesn't he Melodi?” Illumine questions. Melodi just nods and continues to eat their food, being careful not to bother Yue, who is asleep right next to Melodi and Hoshi who is curled at Melodi’s feet sleeping.
Ccino and Elder Vaylleolon look at all of the creatures bonding together, since the other eight dragons are either eating or resting. The two dragons stay calm, and Ccino starts to fall asleep. “Sleep brother, I will watch everyone I promise.” Elder Vaylleolon informs Ccino. Ccino ends up falling asleep, leaning on Elder Vaylleolon.
