Tim:Just Tamara being a weirdo
Lucy:so yall made up
Tim:we are getting there she doesn't fully trust me again yet though
Lucy:do you blame her
Tim:no not really i wouldn't trust me either if i got hurt like that
Lucy:give her time she may be a little scared now to trust you and have you in her life but she loves you

Lucy:so hows Genny and the boys
Tim:uh Genny stopped talking to me after dad died 2 years ago and i refused to go to his funeral
Lucy:im so sorry
Tim:yeah
Lucy:look if you ever need to talk you have me

Tim:i know it sounds stupid but when i have a hard day i go sit outside Genny's house and watch the boys play its kinda creepy but atleast
I get to make sure they are ok that shes ok
Lucy:that doesn't sound stupid at all have you tried getting back in contact with her
Tim:no to scared about what she will say
Lucy:i get that but you won't know until you try
Tim:yeah i might go by tonight see if she is willing to talk

They have a mostly quiet day and after shift Lucy catches Tim in the parking lot sitting in his truck

Tim:thanks he drives off to a nice little neighborhood and stops infront of a small Grey house

He walks up to the door hesitates but then knocks
Genny:what are you doing here
Tim:came to talk
Genny:what if i don't want to

Genny:i guess you can come in for a few minutes

He walks in and sees she has done some remodeling

Tim:because i miss my sister
Genny:im still pissed at you
Tim:i know seems lately everyone is guess im good at messing things up

Genny:look im pissed and hurt but your my big brother i still love you

Genny:you know i have seen you sitting outside checking up on us
Tim:seemed like a good way to make sure you guys are ok while giving you your space
Genny:thats the one thing no one could ever take away is how much you care about your family

Tim:uh turns out i have daughter shes 5 her name is Maddie and she is the best thing that has ever happened to me

Tim:she tried to but when i went on my little destructive path after the break up i blocked her wouldn't take her calls at the station and returned her letters
Genny:ouch she must of thought you didn't care
Tim:she did but its all worked out now starting next week i get to start having custody half the time
Genny:wait Lucys back
Tim:yeah and its pretty great shes a detective she had me ride with her today to a scene and we talked alot like we used to she helped me realize some things
Genny:like coming here
Tim:no that was my idea i have had for a while now but she was the one who encouraged me
Genny:where has my big brother gone and what have you done with him all sappy and nice
Tim:i have had alot of time to think the last few years and to change
Genny:you still going to therapy
Tim:once a month
Genny:thats good hey Tyler has a base ball game Saturday morning maybe you could come
Tim:i would like that i get Maddie Sunday afternoon im thinking maybe you guys can meet her
Genny:yeah i would love to meet my niece
Tim:its a plan then its late i should be getting home
Genny:ok it was really good to see you Tim

Genny:ok im gonna make it a surprise for the boys

He walks out and walks back to his truck pulls out his phone and texts Lucy
Tim:thanks for convincing me to speak to Genny it was nice
Lucy:glad to hear that i would let Maddie call you but she knocked out in the middle of story time
Tim:no worries give her hug for me in the morning tell her daddy loves her
