Part Two: Test Results and a Text Message

Date: September 3
Time: 8:57 AM

"Class, I'll be giving back your tests from yesterday." The teacher said and grabbed the stack of papers from his desk, he went around giving the tests back. Leewon and Taekjoo were busy talking about how school is going to notice their tests had arrived. Leewon glanced at the desk to see his test results on the paper,
"Hey look Taekjoo, I got a 85/100! Not bad!" Leewon was proud of himself, he couldn't stop smiling. He looked over at Taekjoo whose eyes were glued to his test, "what did you get?" He looked at Taekjoo's paper. "99/100..." Taekjoo's seemed disappointed at his grade, "that great!" Leewon smiled but Taekjoo was not.
"What's wrong?"
"I got a 99..."
"So?"
"Look at Zhenya, he got an 100, and I got a 99! That's horrible!" Taekjoo slumped down in his chair.
"It's not that bad, I bet he cheated anyways." Leewon gave Zhenya a dirty look and looked back at Taekjoo,
"he is always first place in everything."
"I'm pretty sure he doesn't know you got second place..." Leewon turned around to see the back of the class, where Zhenya was sitting. Zhenya was grinning while looking at Taekjoo, he already knew Taekjoo got a lower score.
"Nevermind I think he knows." Leewon looked back at Taekjoo who was sulking,
"That bastard always knows."
"That's kind of creepy.." Leewon scratched his head and looked back at his test, he was still pretty proud of his grade.

Time: 9:22 AM

Taekjoo was on break from his classes, he didn't have anywhere to go so he went to his dorm. Taekjoo arrived at the dorm, he opened the door and took off his shoes, he put on his slippers and dropped his backpack on the floor.
"A test on the third day of school... what was that bitch thinking?" Taekjoo groaned and laid on his bed. He was super sleepy but he had to get up to do his homework, he grabbed his backpack and took out his homework and books, he sat down at his desk and started to do work. You might think he is a nerd, but that's not the case. He tries to meet people's standards and feels he needs to be best at everything, hence why he is competing
with Zhenya for first place.

"I'm going to take a quick nap..." Taekjoo closed his books and yawned, he folded his hands and closed his eyes, he leaned back in his chair to try and got to sleep. he was pretty sleepy considering what happened yesterday, but now that he was reminded of what happened yesterday he didn't want to sleep anymore. Not after that.
He felt someone else's presence in the dorm, and he already knew who it was. He pushed his chair back, so the chair would hit the person who was standing behind it.
"Damn it!" Zhenya exclaimed, "what the hell was that for?"
Taekjoo got up from his chair,
"Don't sneak up on me, you bastard."
"You didn't have to hit me. That chair hurts."
"It felt like I did." Taekjoo replied calmly,
Zhenya rolled his eyes, Taekjoo grabbed a folder from his desk, the test that both of them had previously taken fell out of his folder.
"Ha! You got a 99!? And here I was thinking you were smart." Zhenya grinned, he was obviously making fun of Taekjoo for not getting an 100.
"Shut up." Taekjoo was annoyed at Zhenya's comments on his grade,
"I won't and you know it." Zhenya laughed.
"I hate you." Taekjoo hit Zhenya with his folder, Zhenya only kept laughing.

Time: 3:58 PM

The school day has just ended, Taekjoo was sitting on his bed texting Leewon, they were mostly gossiping about the other people in their classes, Taekjoo looked up from his phone, he looked at Zhenya who was working on his computer. Zhenya was wearing his prescription glasses, he had his headphones on, he was listening to music while working. He didn't notice Taekjoo's eyes on him.
(Sure he didn't.)
Taekjoo caught himself staring at Zhenya, he immediately looked back at his phone, there were unread messages from Leewon, he was asking what happened since he stopped typing for a minute.
'Sorry, I got distracted.' Taekjoo sent the message to Leewon,
'What happened?'
'Nothing.'
'Come on, I know when something is up with you' Leewon wanted to know really bad what was up.
'Okay fine 🙄'
Taekjoo replied reluctantly,
'Whatttt'
'I just realized Zhenya kind of looks good with his glasses on.'
Taekjoo was embarrassed but sent the text message anyways.
'Ooohhh you like him‼️'
Leewon texted, clearly teasing him.
'Come on. You know I don't like him.'
Taekjoo texted back,
'Is this enemies to lovers or something 😭'
Leewon texted, Taekjoo rolled his eyes and replied,
'you know that shit ain't real.'
'Oh but it is‼️'
'Bullshit.'
'I gtg 😭 but tell me everything about your crush on Zhenya later.'
'HES NOT MY CRUSH'
Taekjoo was annoyed at all of Leewon's teasing but he let it go.
