Amy suddenly held my chin and moved my head towards hers. She is looking at my eyes so enthusiastically as if she is looking at her most favorite thing in this world. I can't help but look away. I haven't been this close to anyone. My heart is beating too fast and the air felt like they couldn't enter my lungs. Amy, once again moved my head towards hers, and now she is moving her head a little closer to me, this time her eyes is locked to my lips. I couldn't help it anymore, I just closed my eyes and reached for the necklace. It did not take a while for me to open my eyes and see that I was in a different body again.

The lights are off, the silence is too loud and the bed I am in felt like it's too big for me. I sighed deeply, half glad that I was out of that awkward situation but half lonely as the air felt so familiar to me. I am alone again. It has been a long day for me, I can feel the tiredness in my body, funny thing is that this body isn't even mine. My head wanted me to get up and turned the lights on, look at myself in the mirror and get to know this person, but my body don't even have the strength to get up. So I just allowed myself to stay in bed as I decided to leave those tasks for tomorrow.

"Anda! Wake up, or you're going to be late for school," I heard a woman shouting from outside my room. But I ignored it and tried to go back to sleep. Whoever Anda is, should wake up because I'm not tolerating this loud nonsense. People should be considerate of others who are still sleeping.

"Anda!" the person shouted even louder, now followed by a knock on the door.

That knock felt like it just woke my soul up. I almost forgot, I'm not in Abby's body anymore. Am I Anda now? I waited a few moments, watching the door from my bed. I wanted confirmation that someone was knocking on my door. While waiting, I grabbed the necklace and was about to get into this person's memory when suddenly the door opened. A woman, probably in her 40s, was walking towards me with her arms on her hips.

"So you were awake all along?" she said. Annoyance was evident in her tone.

"I-I just woke up," I defended. I could feel my body trembling just looking at her furrowed brows and the spatula she was holding in her right hand.

"Why are you always like this lately? Do you want to just drop out of school? Just tell me, and I'll call your teacher right away," she threatened.

What is up with this woman? Why is she being so naggy this early in the morning? I don't know who she is, but I bet she's "my mom." The way she talks, her posture, and of course, the spatula in her hand as a weapon — typical Asian mom.

"Tell me! Why are you not answering my question, huh?" she asked again.

"I am awake now, what else do you want?" I said, rolling my eyes involuntarily.

"Oh, you're being disrespectful now? Why? Can you feed yourself now? Can you buy yourself your own pads now? Why? Do you have your own money now? Don't ever do that to me again," she said, trying to roll her eyes at me.

"How is that disrespectful? You asked me to answer your question—" I started to explain, but I couldn't finish my sentence. A man entered the room.

"Why is our Anda looking so annoyed at her mom right now?" he asked, walking towards the woman and handing her a cup of coffee. "Honey, let the kid have her 10 minutes more of sleep if she'd like to. I'll drop her to school today," he said, gently rubbing her back.

"Drop her to school? No need, the only drop she'll get is drop out," she retorted, turning and leaving the room.

The man chuckled softly as he watched her leave. He sat down beside my bed and reassured me that she was just annoyed because I did not wake up early and that's why she said those things. He leaned in and hugged me tightly.
