Ding dong... Ding dong... Ding dong

"They are hereeee", Ashika said excitedly turning her face towards Manisha.

"Huh", Manisha replied nonchalantly while wearing her bangles.

"Mai bohot khush hu Rani!!"

"Do you think I'm looking presentable?", Manisha asked nervously, clad in a white Anarkali, looking at herself in the mirror right in front of her.

"Presentable?", Ashika laughed. "Tu kub say itni nervous hone lagi apne looks k baray mein? Miss confident", Ashika replied.

"Ashika babu please not today, I'm already very tense", Manisha heaved a sigh. Her palms were sweating due to nervousness.

Ashika stood up from her place and went towards Manisha. She held her in a warm embrace and whispered in her ear "Hey easyyy...I was just trying to lighten up your mood Meri pyari Rani, you don't have to be tense. Just be yourself".

Papa has called Ashika in the morning, explained the situation, and asked her to pay a visit. He knew Ashika being a sensible young girl would be able to take control of the situation and more importantly she knows how to calm down Manisha.

Laila mousi entered her room, disturbing their emotional moments and said,"Manisha beti ma ji keh rahi hain agr ap ready ho tou niche aa jaen thori der mein.

"Thik hai", Ashika nodded her head.

"Papa wapis aa gye hain?". Manisha asked, glancing at the wall clock.

"Uncle is on his way", this time Ashika replied giving a "JUST ASKED HIM LOOK".

Although it was Sunday but her papa was stuck in the College as he had something important today. He left home in the morning after assuring Manisha that he will be back by the evening.

"Let's go, they will be waiting for us", Ashika said a few minutes later.

Manisha nodded. She straightened her dupatta, pestered a smile on her face and marched downstairs along with Ashika. The noise from the lounge was getting louder and louder as they were approaching.

Manisha entered into the lounge while gluing her eyes to the floor, her arrival caused a pin drop silence. The type of silence which terrified her even more.

"Mani baccha Idhar ao, Milo inse", dadi said.

Before she could react papa entered the lounge too.

"Hi everyone, sorry I got a bit la....(late)" before he could complete his sentence his eyes fell on the person in front of him, who was as looking as shocked as himself and said, "Abhishek beta tum".

Abhishek stood up from his place and greeted his favorite teacher Manoj Kumar.

Everyone looked towards both of them in bewilderment, this time including Manisha.

Papa signaled Manisha to move forward and greet the guests.

It was Manisha's turn to get shocked. The lady sitting in front was none other but Afsa's grandmother whom she met at Award function. She moved forward, greeted the aunty, uncle, and a girl (prerna) who was carrying Afsa in her lap. She sat in between aunty and Prerna.

Laila was serving tea and snacks to all of them.

Manisha felt a tuck on her dupatta while talking with aunty, she moved back and saw a small hand holding the corner of her dupatta. She looked in the eyes of prerna for the permission to which she nodded with a heart-warming smile and handed Afsa to her.

Prerna felt her nervousness and initiated a conversation with her to make her comfortable, which surely worked. Both talked about their studies, families, and hobbies while prerna kept cracking the jokes in between making her laugh. Prerna told her about Nischay as well, who could not accompany them due to an important meeting.

Seeing Manisha comfortable with the guest made her family relax, on the other hand seeing Abhishek normally talking with Manisha's papa and dada ji surprised his family as well.

Everyone was engrossed in their conversation when suddenly dada ji said to papa "Manoj Tum Abhishek ko Kaise janty ho?"

"Abhishek was my student in the College, a very bright student indeed", papa said with a love-filled voice making Abhishek proud.

Ashika, Dimple Aunty, and dadi were talking to each other when aunty told her about Abhishek's proposal for Manisha. Dadi and Ashika were shocked for a moment because they didn't expect that.

"Maa ji being a mother I hope you would understand my situation as you have been through the same circumstances", dimple aunty said to which dadi nodded.

Both of them further continued their conversation over the same topic.

After some time The Malhans stood up to leave while ty went outside to bid them a farewell.

They greeted each other warmly and sat down in the car. Manisha hugged and Afsa placed a kiss on her cheek lovingly. She looked towards her right side when she felt a constant gaze on herself. She looked up and her eye met his. She got nervous looking into his eyes. He quickly averted his eyes. Seeing Afsa comfortable with a stranger was a new thing for him. He came forward, took Afsa from her, and hurriedly sat in the car.

The Malhans went. Ashika And Manisha went upstairs while the other three sat down in the lounge.

Ashika talked with Manisha for some time, consciously tried to divert the topic from today's topic because deep down she had no idea how Manisha will take the proposal after knowing that Abhishek is the one for whom her hand is asked.

He seemed like a good person, beauty with brains but her main concern was that he was already married and has a kid now. She observed Manisha who was looking at herself by now, talkative and bubbly, for which she was more than grateful.

After a while, Ashika's boyfriend came to take her home. Manisha went with her downstairs, and met Aditya (Ashik's Boyfriend). She bid them farewell after a lot of insistence to stay for the dinner but Adi denied and promised her they will come another day. She waved them "Bye" and came back inside.

She was passing by the lounge when unintentionally she heard the conversation for her family.

So many shocks in one chapter...hahaha I'm surely overdramatic, but I guess it was much needed.

How do you think out of nowhere Abhishek agreed to the marriage?

What will be Manisha's reaction after knowing the truth?

Which part of the story do you like? and why?
