Chapter 71: Infected Animals
Liu Sang who was watching the show while paying attention to his Ouxiang saw him frown and interact with Zhang Rishan. He looked around vigilantly knowing that something must be wrong before taking off his white cancelling noise earbuds and closing his eyes in concentration to check the surrounding area.
Wu Sanxing who was near him notice him suddenly sit up straight and patted the Shen twins bedim him to stay alert as he wait. He remain calm and didn't remind the others as he wait for the result of Liu Sang's hearing.
Liu Sang opened his eyes after a while, frowning as he hesitantly shake his head at Wu Sanxing. It's strange to say that he can hear nothing but his Ouxiang's reaction said something else. He tried one more time and this time, he suddenly heard low grunts and some sniffing sounds.
Liu Yi suddenly frown as her nose twitch at the smell of blood heading her way. She suddenly took a step back away from Hei Xiazi and concentrate on smelling the scent in the air.
Her actions gain a confused look on the crowd before their eyes widen at seeing her sudden killing intent as she look at Hei Xiazi's way while taking out a whip from somewhere.
Hei Xiazi felt a gush of wind towards his head and immediately avoid to his left, panting in fear as he took a deep breath. Not only because he almost got whacked in the head, but also because Liu Yi is using a whip full of killing intent right now.
The others scream as they saw a fast shadow aiming the back of Xiazi's head before a high-pitched squealing sounds and scream filled the forest. They sigh in relief when they saw Liu Yi suddenly make a move against it.
Hei Xiazi felt something wrong and looked behind him only to sigh in relief after seeing that he wasn't the target before frowning as he didn't sense the movement behind him because of his focus on avoiding Liu Yi. He clicked his tongue as he actually made such a low level mistake.
Liu Yi gave him a death glare, to which he only whistled while looking away, before focusing back on what she just hit with her whip.
The others also rushed towards them to see what thing was the shadow.
It was a wild boar weighing more than two hundred kilogram, lying weakly as it was whipped in its hind leg. It look at them with angry red eyes and snorting heavily.
"What is this?"
Su Wan, "A wild boar."
Pangzi, "A wild boar dinner."
"A wild boar that never sleep--- ouch!" Xiao Tang immediately answered before hissing in pain as someone just whacked him on the head. "Why is it always me?"
"Be serious." Xiu Jingchen glare at the red haired boy before coming closer to check the wild boar.
"It has red eyes which seems to have infected with energy, though it should be infected lately since it hasn't mutated yet and can still run around under the sun."
"Its nest must be near the tomb or it won't be affected that easily." Wu Sanxing frowned and faced the crowd.
"Since we've rested enough, let's leave." He urged them.
Everyone agreed and left to pick up their bags leaving only Liu Yi and Hei Xiazi around the boar.
"What do you think?" Hei Xiazi looked at Liu Yi with inquiry.
Liu Yi only pursed her lips and frown without a trace before shaking her head.
"Kill it."
Hei Xiazi obeyed and pierced the boar's neck with a dagger, not letting blood spilled on himself. The boar shrieked loudly in pain and surprisingly charge ahead towards him making him shout in surprise. Thankfully, Liu Yi tug him out of the way fast or he would have disgusting blood all over him.
