chapter four || Bleed me ||

warning

violence, Blood

The Han River, once a sanctuary of calm, had transformed into a cruel witness to my shattered soul. The cold breeze was biting, its chill seeming to penetrate the very core of my being. I stood at the edge of the river, staring blankly at the dark water. It was as if the river had swallowed my hopes and dreams, leaving only a void behind. The cigarette I held between my fingers was a feeble attempt to numb the anguish, but it did little to quell the storm inside me.

Jimin's decision to bring his wife back into our lives was a betrayal that cut deeper than any physical wound. The thought of her stepping into the home I had sacrificed so much for was unbearable. My entire existence had been intertwined with his—my hopes, my dreams, and even my sense of self had been given to him. Now, he was asking me to leave, to become a specter in the shadow of his new life. I took a long drag from the cigarette, trying to inhale the poison as if it could cleanse the toxins festering in my heart.

I tossed the cigarette into the darkness, its ember extinguishing as it hit the wet ground. The driver's frantic arrival interrupted my thoughts. His face was pale, his eyes wide with concern. I flicked the remains of the cigarette aside and followed him back to the car, my steps heavy with a sense of dread. What could Jimin possibly want now? His tone on the phone had been sharp, his words clipped and urgent. My mind raced with possibilities, each more unsettling than the last.

The drive back to the mansion felt interminable. The city's lights blurred past the window, the rhythm of the car's engine only adding to my mounting anxiety. Was Jimin angry? Was he planning something I couldn't anticipate? My thoughts were a tangled mess of fear and uncertainty as we pulled up to the grand estate. The driver's face was a mask of apprehension, mirroring my own inner turmoil.

As I entered the mansion, the silence was almost oppressive. Every maid and guard bowed their heads, their faces carefully neutral. The grandeur of the hall seemed to mock my inner turmoil, the opulence a stark contrast to the storm raging within me. I walked through the hall, the weight of every step feeling like a burden.

A maid approached, her whisper barely more than a breath. "Mr. Park is quite furious today. I hope you understand, ma'am."

I nodded, trying to steady my breathing. "Is he in his room or office?"

"In his room," she replied.

My heart pounded in my chest as I made my way toward his bedroom. Each step seemed to amplify the pounding in my ears, my fear growing with every inch closer I got. I knocked softly on the door, the sound a mere echo in the vast hallway.

The door creaked open, revealing Jimin's broad back. My heart sank as he ordered the guards to lock the door behind him. A cold shiver ran down my spine. The familiar fear of what awaited me surged back, dragging me into a dark place I had hoped to never revisit.

As the guards left, I sank to my knees, my head bowed in submission. The silence was broken only by Jimin's voice, his tone laced with a dangerous edge. "Where were you, my slut?"

The term was a lash of its own, cutting through my resolve. I tried to speak but found my voice failing me. I could feel his gaze like a physical force, pressing down on me. The weight of his expectations and anger was suffocating.

"So, you started disobeying me again, huh?" His voice was cold, unyielding.

"I was at Han River," I managed to whisper, my voice trembling.

"I told you to come home directly, didn't I, Bella?" His voice was low, dangerous.

"Yes, but I needed some time alone," I replied, forcing the words out despite the tightness in my throat.

"May I know why?" he demanded.

"I was tense," I said, my voice barely more than a breath.

"Tense? Or were you angry and worried about what you did in front of my father?" His voice was sharp, accusing.

"I didn't do anything wrong. He kept provoking me—" I started, but he cut me off.

"Do not shout, Lee Y/N. Never forget who you are to us."

The tension was palpable, a living, breathing thing that seemed to choke the air out of the room. I tried to rise, but before I could fully stand, a searing pain erupted across my shoulders. I fell back, a scream escaping my lips as the leather belt struck again. Each lash was a brutal reminder of the control he wielded over me, each blow a punishment for perceived transgressions. Blood mingled with tears as I screamed, the pain blurring into a ceaseless torment.

The belt lashed out with a relentless fury, each strike tearing through my flesh. My screams filled the mansion, echoing through the halls and reverberating in my own ears. I tried to crawl away, my movements growing weaker with each passing moment. The once-pristine floor was stained with my blood, a grim testament to the violence being inflicted upon me.

Jimin's anger seemed to consume him. The belt struck with a rhythmic cruelty, each lash more punishing than the last. The sound of leather against skin was accompanied by my cries, creating a symphony of suffering. The room felt like a battlefield, and I was the fallen soldier, battered and broken.

Eventually, my body grew limp, my consciousness slipping away. The pain was a distant echo as darkness began to envelop me. Jimin's fury seemed to reach a crescendo before his cries of anguish filled the room. The belt fell to the floor with a thud, and the silence that followed was heavy and oppressive.

The maids burst in, their faces contorted with shock and horror as they saw my battered body. They moved quickly, their hands shaking as they lifted me with a care that was almost too late. Jimin's voice was barely audible as he instructed them to call Dr. Kim. His own desperation was palpable, his face a mask of guilt and regret.

As they carried me to the car, Jimin's hands trembled as he held me. His face was pale, his eyes haunted by the brutality he had inflicted. The drive to the hospital was a blur, the world outside blending into a haze of pain and darkness. The nurses rushed to us, their faces serious as they separated Jimin and me, taking me into the emergency room.

Yoongi's arrival was a beacon of relief amidst the chaos. His face was etched with concern and sorrow as he took in the sight of me being wheeled into the hospital. He rushed forward, his eyes pleading with the doctors.

"Yoongi, don't tell me it's the same shit again," the female doctor said, her voice heavy with exasperation.

"Jimin did that again, didn't he?" the male doctor asked, his voice tinged with anger.

"Jin Hyung, Noona, she needs you. Please, go. I'll talk about it later," Yoongi said urgently.

As the doctors worked to stabilize me, Yoongi's sobs were a painful reminder of the cruelty and betrayal that had led me here. The pain, both physical and emotional, was overwhelming, a storm of agony that had no end in sight. Jimin's actions had left me broken, a shell of the person I once was. The love that had once been a beacon had turned into a weapon, a cruel tool of domination and control.
