The Runaway

New york City

It was 5 :23pm and I had my bag of clothes and some shoes to take with me, as I was about to leave the house I saw mom's picture and Decided to take it with me as a memory of her and my siblings.

As I locked the door and left I went to the nearest train station that would take to New York; As I arrived at the train station I walked for a few minutes and thought to myself and felt this guilt in me that I wasn't even sure what it was as I started to think about it more i didn't realize my train was about to leave.

I ran as fast as I could to make it as the doors were about to shut, I made it just in time and I took my seat and almost past out as i just ran to catch my train, as I took some minutes to breath I saw on the train that it would take about 6 hours to make it to New York .

As I thought wow this was going to take a while... so I brought my headphones and brought some tapes with me.

I started to play Black Sabbath as there I fell asleep in a few minutes and when I woke up there was only 30 minutes left so I started to get ready and fix myself in the bathroom in the train when I was going back to my seat I started to think about my siblings and their well being.

I was especially worried for Matthew he was a troublemaker never listen to anyone but he always listened to me which I found funny because he would simply ignore anyone else. As the train stopped in New York I sighed out of relief as soon as I stepped foot out of the train I was overjoyed but sad that I left everything behind but yet I was free.

As I walked some more and made it to queen, I had Cliff's address after all so I walked and saw a pay phone near me and I dialed cliffs phone number.

As it rung it picked up but it wasn't cliff, it was another man and he asked who this was and I said, "hey I'm Cliffs cousin I'm supposed to move in with him for a while do you know where he is?" I asked and he replied, "Oh yeah he is playing with the band right now.

My name is James Hetfield sorry for not introducing myself earlier", As I said "no don't worry I heard about you" I smiled to myself and said "I just wanted to make sure he was home but I will drop by in five can you tell him for me please?"

As he agreed he hung up and I continued to walk and arrived at his apartment it was pretty spacious which I liked and as I knocked on the door Another guy answered he had blonde long straight hair he said "Yes?" As I stared at him for a bit I said, Hey I'm Maxine you must be Lars I suppose? He said "Oh yeah Maxine welcome in Cliff is over there."

As I walked inside and said " hey Lars is it true that you guys kicked out Dave??" He responded and said "yeah we had too he was being a dick about some stuff but what's done is done" I stayed in silence for a bit and then said " then who did he get replaced by?" As I walked where was he walked to me and hugged me and said "Hey Maxine we have been waiting for you!"

As I smiled and saw a unfamiliar person he had long dark curly hair, the eyes of an angel and the most perfect smile I have ever seen. As he came up to me and said "So this is your cousin Cliff?" he responded " Oh yeah she this is Maxine she comes from Chicago."

As I saw him from the corner of my eye he was start at me often I blushed a little when I noticed but really didn't think much of it because I knew it could never happen.

But I just couldn't keep myself from looking ether. As Cliff said "This is the new guys his name is Kirk" As Kirk said added " Hammett, my last name is Hammett" as Cliff laughed a bit Kirk and I had a small convo as he saw my tapes of Black Sabbath.

later on Cliff called me over to show me where my room was it wasn't so bad I actually liked it and started to unpack and when I heard that the guy's stopped playing Cliff came inside my room and said if I wanted to go with them to catch some food. I said yes and changed to go out I put some light make up on and went outside my room to leave with the guy's.
