Husk tried to shake it off as he gazed into the mirror. He's had years and years of experience with med, as he had served in the war back when he was alive. It was all a blur to him, most trails of his earth life. But he could never forget basic first aid.

He wrapped his neck with bandage after disinfecting the cuts. He sighs as he forced himself to make eye contact in the mirror. The cat boy was shaking, desperately trying not to burst into tears. "You're fine, you're fine, you're fine," he insists to himself. "Fuck." He took a peek at his phone as he realized it was 7:00. Angel Dust would be done with work any minute now. "Don't give the kid another problem to fuckin worry about," he mumbles under his breath.

Husk threw on a jacket as it was rather chilly out. He left his room, walking past the princess.

"HUSK!" Charlie greets.

"Hey, Princess," Husk responds.

"Where ya heading?"

"To pick up Angel," Husk huffily says.

"Are you alright?" Charlie asks, taking a step towards Husk. "You seem... tense?"

"Of course I'm okay!" Husk quickly says. "I-I'm just too sober for this."

"Ah," Charlie says, her brows furrowing. "I see. Why don't you join us tomorrow for our activities? I'm sure you need a break better than anyone. I'll be sure to let Alastor know." Charlie paused. "Hold on... where is Alastor anyway?"

Husk felt sweat pouring down him, his heart thumping at even the sound of his name. "I-I'm not sure," he lies.

Charlie frowns. "Husk... I'm worried about you. If something is wrong, you can tell me. I'm here for you too, even if you're staff."

Husk shakes his head, persistently. "I'm okay, Princess. Thanks for da concern. B-But, uh- I've gotta pick up Angel now.. uhh.. don't want to keep him waiting- ya know how that spider is." He nervously chuckled.

"Y-yeah, don't let me keep ya. Bye."

"Bye," Husk says as he turns around and tries to quickly make his way to the exit of the hotel. As he makes it to his bike parked promptly outside, he finally exhaled in relief. The hotel felt so stuffy and small even though it was as big as could be. He tried to shake off the sweat, as he looked down at his paws realizing how sweaty he actually was. "Well this ain't. embarrassing," he grumbles as he starts wiping it on anywhere possible.

Angel Dust had a wonderful day at work. He had just finished up his performance as he went to the back dressing room throwing off his itchy blond wig, to see Val standing and waiting there. "There he is!" Val cheers. "My favorite actor!"

"Hey Val," Angel says, as he immediately picks up a few makeup wipes, scrubbing them across his face. "I'm so beat."

"Aw, too tired for your lover?"

Angel rolls his eyes, playfully. "You know what I mean- I just finished a 10 hour shift!"

Val gently put his hands on Angel's hips, nuzzling his head into his hair. "That's... such a shame. I had many plans for us."

Angel laughs as he finally finished taking off his makeup, turning around to see Val. "Well, ya know I gotta get back to the hotel."

"Nah, fuck the hotel," Val says. "Why don'tcha spend the weekend with me, hm? Like old times?"

Angel reluctantly shakes his head. "Sorry, Val, I would any other time but I promised Chah-ly I'd do her activities. She's been looking forward to my day off for a long time now."

"Now that's disappointing," Val mumbles. But the moth smirks slightly. "Can't I change your mind, Amorcito?"

"Val..." Angel says, gently. "I'm sorry.. I can't."

Val shrugs. "Not a problem to me. But could ya do me a favor before you... take your departure?"

Angel smiles. "Yeah, of course. What's up?"

Val turned around, opening a drawer and sorting through the stuff, using his back to block Angel Dust's view. He retrieved a heart shaped potion, plucking the top off and pouring it into a nearby glass. "I need you to try this, it's a new recipe!"

"Again?" Angel asks.

"N-No, it's different this time!"

"Betta be," Angel grumbles. "The last one tasted so sour." Angel took the glass, taking a tiny sip. Something in him immediately grew fond to the substance. "Hm," he mumbles, as he continues to drink the rest of the glass, gulping it down and exhaling as he finished. "Oh that's much more sweet," Angel admits.

"Good," Val says, as he bent down to be at eye level with Angel Dust. "Now... did that convince you to stay?"

Angel bit his lip, nervously, as he locked eyes with the moth man, his heart racing and his palms sweaty. "I... uh..." Angel quickly turns away, hiding his face in his chest fluff. "I-I'll tell ya what! I'll go back to the hotel, grab my stuff, and- uh- make and excuse! So- uh, Chah-ly doesn't think I'm blowing her off or some shit."

Val grins widely. "Perfect."

Angel felt his face burning up. "I-I'll see you uh later then, Val!" Angel says, as he quickly grabs his bag, running out the dressing room.

"See you soon, Angel Cakes."

- Meanwhile -

Husk's attention immediately went up as the Vee's door opens wide, watching Angel Dust walk out. "Angel!" Husk exclaims, waving his arms.

"Hey Husk!" Angel excitedly says, as he runs over to the cat demon, his eyes widening at the sight of his bike. "No way! Sick ride!"

"Yeah," Husk chuckles. "You ready to head back to the hotel? Ya must be relieved to have a 3 day weekend, huh?" He asks, as they start boarding the bike, Angel easily putting his arms around Husk, his chest fluff pressing against Husk's back. Husk felt a little anxious but tried not to let it get to him.

"Hm?" Angel mumbles, before snapping back to reality. "O-oh! Yeah."

Husk was confused at Angel's out-of-it-ness. "You alright, Legs?" He asks, as they start driving.

"I'm good," Angel mumbles.

"You seem... like your minds somewhere else?" Husk hesitates. "Was it uh... a bad day at work?"

Angel shakes his head. "I... I kinda liked it today."

"Really?" Husk was surprised.

"Yeah! It was kind of fun."

"Huh. Well... I'm happy for ya, Angel."

"Thanks Husk!"

They arrived just at the hotel, as Husk helps Angel get off. "Was Val not there today?"

"Oh, he was here!"

Husk felt weird inside, a feeling in his chest screaming something's wrong. "Were you okay?"
"I was fine, Husk," Angel says, dismissively as they enter the hotel. "You don't have to baby me, I'm a grown ass man."

"I-I wasn't trying to," Husk justifies. "I'm just worried about ya, kid. Literally a few days ago Val... well.. ya know."

"He apologized," Angel says, in an annoyed tone.

"That's not how this works."

Angel sighs. "I'm tired, I'm turning in. Thanks for da ride." Angel walked straight up the stairs to his room, as Husk sighs.

What the fuck was that?! He thinks.
