These chapters aren't going to be as long as A New Life since it's a telling of the past from Sergio and Spencer.

~Spencer pov~

That dumbass alarm clock needs to stop. Fine, I'm up. I turned it off and looked around to see Catnap, Dogday, and Sergio all in the room. There's no way they waited for me to wake up to hear the story. The two dumbass twins were playing cards but Dogday threw his at Catnap when I woke up. “Why Dogday! Were you just mad I was gonna beat you?” “Nope just wanting to hear the story is all.” That dog is shit at lying.

“Hmh… oh, I know, so it's 2001 and we're basically two peas in a pod now.”

Ok Spencer, you got this, just get through this test and… who is hugging me?! I turned around to see the folf giving me a hug from behind. “Who's a silly kitty cat?” He let go and started to giggle. “Nice one Sergio, hugging defenseless me.” I hurried and gave him a little play punch on the arm and he started to laugh. He's clearly not just here for fun, I mean his 5th grade classes are in a whole different building.

“Do you know what next week is, Sir Spencer the great.” This autistic dude really is bad at jokes and names. I've learned that when Sergio makes up a name for you it's best to play along. “Of course I know King Sergio, it is thou day of birth.” We both were laughing at this point when he handed me a piece of paper. It was a poorly written and drawn invitation.

Dear Spencer,
Please come join me at the arcade next Saturday for my birthday! Your bestest friend Sergio.

“You didn't have to write me a whole letter.” He looked embarrassed so I dropped the subject. I gave him a thumbs up and he was really happy. “Would you look at this? It rejects one and two.” Shit not these guys again. Those 8th graders were such scumbags to go after a 6th and 5th grader. “Run Sergio I got this.” He looked back and forth then ran.

*Present day*

“I got the beating of my life.” I looked over to see Sergio a little sad. Dogday looked furious, “how could you leave him like that Sergio?” Catnap was trying to cool him down to no avail. “I told him to run Dogday so he did. I would rather take a beating than have him endure one.” Sergio gave me a little kiss and smiled.

“Anyways at Sergio’s birthday we were having a lot of fun.”

This is it, it's sudden death. Sergio hit the puck and I sent it back at him, this went on for an eternity till I won. I started to dance, “I won, alright, I won.” Sergio laughed and bowed, “I pray to you, king of air hockey.” We both giggled some more, we were always laughing as kids. “Hey guys, mom said it's time for food.” I said thank you to Sam but before I could do anything Sergio grabbed my hand and pulled me. “Come on Spencer, let's go eat.” I'm speechless, what is this warm feeling? I think I like it.

Catnap's eyes got big, “that's when you started to like him!” I nodded, Dogday started to get all giddy and his tail was wagging like crazy. “Sorry to burst your bubble you two but the last part of that day wasn't good."

I opened the door to my house and put my shoes in the cubby. There's a weird thud coming from upstairs but I could care less right now. I found my favorite chips in the pantry and put on a T.V show.

After about two episodes, the front door opened and dad walked in. “Daddy!” I ran to him and he gave me a massive hug. I had the remote on me by accident; it paused the T.V, that's luck for you. The thud came back and I swore I heard mom scream. I looked at dad, he had a blank expression and told me to not come upstairs no matter what. All I remember is hearing dad screaming at Cathy to get the fuck out. I don't blame him, she didn't deserve to be my mom. It's been four days now since mom left and I doubt she's coming back.

*Present day*

I think I killed the mood. Everyone looks so defeated now. “Ok let's call it here for today and we can pick it up tomorrow.” Sergio looked at me with worried eyes. Oh shit, that's right the next part isn't pretty either.

Thanks for reading as always.
