chapter 1- The Hungarian GP

we were half way through the 2022 season, it was finally time for the hungarian Grand Prix, the track has 14 turns in total and two Drs zones which is pretty good. unfortunatly this year has been really wet. Other series such as Formula 4 and 3, the porsche cup and a few others have had lots of problems with the rain theres been a lot of spins and crashes. noone was looking forward to the race at all its half way through the season before our summer break, everyone is exhausted and frustrated, thankfully we only have two more weekends to get through and then we get three weeks off. the most exciting thing was i was 10points behind verstappen in the championship, the real has been really right and  if i got a better position than max in this weeks grand prix ,id be leading the championship...this is the year that im gonna take WDC away from him.

sunday rolled around and everyone was waiting in the pitlane for the green light so that we could go line up on the grid. i ended up qualifying P1! so if all goes well ill be leading the grand prix when the five lights go out, unfortunatly Max was starting P2 right behind me so if i have a bad start id lose lead into turn 1.

the green flagged waved, it was time for the formation lap i weaved in an out trying to bring the temp of my tyres higher i  also tried my best to bunch up the feild so i wouldnt have to wait too long for them on the grid as the formation lap came to an end we all took our spots and waited, my heart was in my throat this was a very important moment for me, i finally had a car that could fight for a world champ!..

The Green flag waved at the back for the second time today, the five lights came on it was just a matter of time when they would go out.

beep...beep..beep...

Crofty : "AND ITS LIGHTS OUT AND AWAY WE GO!!" he shouted as the lights went off, i had a good start off the line but it wasnt enough somehow max still managed to lead into turn 1 

"Xavi?! for sure he jump started theres no way he had a better start than me!!" i mumbled in annoyance, to my race enginner

Xavi:"We are checking..." the classic you dont hear anything from this guy other than 'we are checking'. 

the race went on, i was in drs range of max just sat on his rear wing about to make a move as we were going into sector 2 we saw a car spin out infront of us then sector 2 was yellow flaged on lap 9, the car hit the wall inbetween turns 8 and 9. On lap 10 they deployed the saftey car they had to see what damages there where to the tech pro, a few drivers including myself decied to pit to save a little time under the saftey car the drivers that pitted along side me were  carlos and checo we all pitted on lap 11 of the race but once we got out of the pits we got stuck in traffic we dropped down too about p11, p12 and p13 unfortunatly just two laps later the race was redflagged,  there was debris on the track that they had to pick up so the decided to redflag the race. we would get a standing restart, unfortunatly i was starting p13 because we decicided to pit 2 laps before it was redflagged.

 we did another formation lap and lined up on the grid in our new order carlos was starting p11 were as i was starting down in p13 i had tsunoda and magnussen behind me, we all took our spots and waited for the five lights to go out again.."ITS LIGHTS OUT AND AWAY WE GO AGAIN" i have never hit that gas pedal faster in my life i had so many positions lost and had to make up for...little did i know this would be the end of my grand prix.

crofty:"magnussen is really brav- OH MY GOD MAGNUSSEN HAS GONE INTO THE WILLAMS OMG AND THAT HAS CAUSED A CHAIN REACTION 7 CARS JUST WENT CRASHING INTO TURN 1 UNBELIEVABLE! Thats going to be another red flag, thats going to be a lot to clean up , AND OH MY THERES A WILLAMS AND HAAS ON TOP OF THE FERRARI."
