IT HAD BEEN a regular, chilly Saturday. But Asano, being the nerd he is, studied even on weekends.
Karma knew that, that's why he trolled around campus that noon.

Why he was there? Well, if it were any other occasion, karma wouldn't have bothered even a tiny bit to waste his Saturday on that ginger.
But ever since those vicious exams before the summer holidays, mina had been weird around the topic asano.

She usually was, too, at least ever since they met, but it came to a point where she'd beg karma, Rio, and their friends to take a different route home.

It became worse when the blonde rich girl joined the big five. Karma didn't really care for the status-quo or labels specifically in any way- he physically couldn't give less of a shit for asano's assembly of weird blasphemies god-complexist with way too much time on their hands, but the rest of the school did. But the rest of the school cared for it, he recognised that.

He sometimes speculated what had happend between the two of them, so, today, he was gonna clear that up.

To do that, he waited for his favourite ginger outside the school building, on one of stairsteps.

He had finished one of the cheap seven-eleven tacos he had gotten previously that morning- typical breakfast wasn't really his thing.

The yellow paper was now crumbled up next to the remaining taco, still wrapped in it's paper. It layed next to karma and it'd attract bees if it were open.

"Who are you?" A kind of voice that would be considered ethereal normally- though it did not catch karma's attention- , addressed him. it certainly wasn't asano's.

Well, except asano's a fifteen year old teenage girl now. But that's not possible, so...

"Karma." The red-haired boy slightly tilted his head back, he had raised eyebrows and an unbothered face. He spotted a petite face with long, lightblonde hair on either side of it.

"Aren't you the girl that joined asano's fanclub?" He followed up quickly after.

The girl had a sort of unsettling aura. It didn't scare karma, but he kept cautious as she elegantly moved from her spot behind him to sit right next to him.
Her smile looked fake, too. Just like takaoka's did.

He liked mina's more.

"Aren't you the boy who keeps hanging around Mina-chan?" She asked back, not moving an inch.

"I asked first."

"Well, I asked second."

Karma sighed, then his head fell back slightly. He didn't enjoy bickering half as much when the banter-accepting person's face looks build by AI.

"Alright, I'll go first," he started nonchalantly, "I hang around my girlfriend, yeah. Are you stalking us, glossophobic girl?"

"Glossophobic?"

"Fear of public speaking. Since you don't want to answer my question, apparently."

The blonde girl then let something out that could be vaguely identified as a chuckle, her scary smile got even smugger and karma wondered wether or not his smile looked the same way whenever he laughed at a joke. He hoped not.

"I'm Marie. Your girlfriend and I are old friends, and, yes, I did enjoy the big five. I officially made it the big six. Not a fanclub, by the way." She put quotation marks around the 'girlfriend', which made karma visibly move back a notch. This girl weirded him out.

"Right.." he slowly added, looking back into the sky. "Well, I'm looking for-"

"Akabane." Asano's all-so-hated voice appeared, again, from behind karma. And it made karma instantly hate life, so powerful it was.
