Oscar liked the idea of plastic flowers , but he had to admit he did prefer real ones. When he joined McLaren last year for the 2023 Season , he had instantly made a connection with his fellow driver , Lando Norris. Lando was very talkative and open about things he liked and disliked , quite the opposite to Oscar actually , Oscar was fairly closed about his interests and preferred to sit alone. Over time though he'd grown attached to Lando, always checking on him , cheering him up after a bad race or qualifying.  He felt like he needed to protect Lando from the badness of the world and the racing fans. Unfortunately nothing Oscar done could protect him from everything , there would always be something that he could keep Lando safe from. With Oscar having an attentive ear and Landos inability to stop talking he had learnt over time that he really loved a flower called "Orange Carnations". Oscar liked these types of flowers himself as well so he decided to put a plastic one in his suitcase everywhere he went , without Landos knowledge as well. He kept it with him at all times as a comfort but it was also waiting for Lando for when he starting to decline in mood. Then it happened.

After the Qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix Lando was frustrated in himself for a so-called poor performance , At first Oscar thought he was joking with him as he qualified in P9 which in Oscars head was a decent drive , considering the teams above McLaren were Redbull , Ferrari , occasionally Mercedes and sometimes an Aston Martin. Lando wasn't in the best of moods that night , getting easily annoyed and snapping at anyone who crossed his path. When Oscar heard the door of Lando's driver room slam , slightly shaking the thin walls , he took that as his opportunity to ''Give'' the plastic flower to Lando though he wouldn't give it to him exactly , he was going to leave it on the massage table they both had in there respective rooms. Oscar poked his head out his door slowly , surveying the area before making his move quickly, the flower tightly held to his chest on the inside of his hoodie. He opened the door quickly but making sure not to draw attention to himself. He didn't want to be stopped and question for going into Lando's Drivers room when he was seen storming out. He slipped threw the small gap in the door , laid the plastic flower on the massage table and rushed out , pulling the door closed and taking himself back to his room. Oscar sat patiently on the small sofa in his room , waiting to see if lando would text him the news when he returned from what he assumed was some sort of media .

Oscar blinked his eyes open, not realising he has fallen asleep but was abruptly awoken by a loud knock on his door echoing through the small room. He sighed before rubbing his eyes and standing up to stretch. Another knock echoed through the room as he made his way to the door

" Alright im coming " Oscar called , making his way across the room and opened the door. He was met with the smiling face of his teammate. He barged past Oscar to go into the room, the smile never leaving his face. Oscar sighed quietly, even though he did actually enjoy the way Lando did whatever he wanted like he owned the place, closing the door behind him.

"See you finally cheered up" Oscar lightly teased , sleep still laying over him causing his voice to be slightly deeper

" Look Look ! " Lando exclaimed as he shoved the Plastic flower near Oscars face " Someone left me this , a plastic Orange Carnation "

" i see it " Oscar chuckled lightly , brushing the flower away from his face " your favourite flower right? "

" Yes it is! Oh My God .. Maybe the person who left it secretly likes me " He squealed in excitement " i wonder who though " his tone changed as he spoke from excitement to confusion
