Apparently, what Puffer had said was correct, even though they both were just starting, John got a hang of it much faster than Puffer did.

He wasn't sure if it was the fact the Smit helped John every time he fell, or Puffer basically learning on his own, that made them so drastically different when learning.

That, or Puffer just didn't get ahold of it, which he could understand.

The only problem with the mountains is the lifts, John never knew how afraid of heights he was until he had to go up the hill. Newsflash, it's the first thing he had to do, and therefore, the first problem he had to overcome.

He didn't get over it though, just about every time they went back up, John clung to Smit, to which Smii7y only laughed too.

Even though John was better than Puffer, that didn't make him good, per se. He struggled with just about everything, but he was getting it, and quite quickly.

He'd fallen... near 20 times now, but he was not giving up.

Giving up is for idiots.

Actually, take that back, sometimes giving up is smart, but this is not one of those times.

"Im sorry John, this is probably the worst way to start." Smit chuckled from beside John, who refused to let go of him on their way back up the mountain.

"Yeah, you can say that again, you're lucky there's only four of us, or we'd have to go up in separate pairs." Puffer yawned, resting his board haphazardly over Grizzy's on the bottom bar.

"Puffer move your fat board, you're scratching mine up."

"Suck my dick." Puffer scoffed, but moved his board regardless, attempting to rest it on Johns, but gave up, and let it hang off the bar.

"Johns board was more expensive than both of yours combined, you better fucking not." Smit almost snarled his sentence, surprising John with the sudden aggression.

"Oh, okay grumpy." Puffer teased, bright pink and blue being all John could see of the man right now. He never understood why he chose such bright colours today, John opted for all black with the occasional yellow accessory.

Then again, Smit was bright white, he matched the snow so well, John almost ran into him multiple times, the tint on his goggles not helping him, since the red-fire fade on them made everything look the same.

John also had no idea how Smit saw anything, his goggles deep black tinted, but then again, you can have that on cars, and sunglasses, so it wasn't that much of a mystery.

Of course Puffer chose blue tint for his goggles, and he complained the whole time so far that he could see nothing but cold colours, and he was affectively colour-blind, which John could care less about.

Honestly he could shut the fuck up.

Smit had profusely asked Puffer to get him goggles with a prescription so he didn't have to wear his glasses under them, to which he refused. They never heard the end of how annoying it was to have glasses under your goggles.

John almost hit him, oh, he was mad at Puffer right now, he was fuelling the fire in the deep pit in Johns heart, He couldn't seem to enjoy anything.

John shuffled closer into Smit's hoodie, he refused to look anywhere but at his lover at the moment, god was he high up.

He was surprised Smit could wear a sweater in this weather without a jacket, John was sure he'd freeze to death.

"What's wrong, John?" Smit shifted, noticing Johns small movement.
