Catch-Weight: A term used to describe a bout where neither fighter adheres to a traditional weight division but instead have agreed to a predetermined weight at which they will compete.
Soobin sighs quietly, tapping his fingers on the wheel of the car whilst Taehyun rested his head on the side of the car, and Kai slept peacefully in the back.
Soobis's house was in the town next over, so they wouldn't be seeing their father anytime soon. At least not for a few days.
It was pitch dark outside, having left at around 7 pm and being on the road for an hour or two, Soobin wasn't particularly counting the hours that passed.
"Do you ever wonder how our lives would be.. If our dad wasn't, you know.. Our dad?" Taehyun broke the silence, turning his head to look over at Soobin.
"I thought I was the only one," Soobin chuckled, trying to make a joke, to which Taehyun smiled, glancing back at his younger brother in the backseats.
"I feel bad for him. He's still.. I want to say young, but we're only one year apart, " Taehyun spoke softly, taking his attention off his sleeping brother.
"Trust me, as your hyung, i feel equally as bad, for both of you," Soobin spoke, adjusting the volume on the radio to hear his brother better, "I promise.. I'm trying to make things good for us. "
Taehyun nodded his head, understanding his brother was trying his best when it came to their situation.
Soobin sighed quietly, glancing over at his brother before looking back at the road, "Kai was right, if i can't get a decent chunk of the debt in for dad, we could have sharks on our ass", He spoke softly, tapping his fingers more worriedly on the steering wheel.
"You lied to him?", Taehyun spoken, coming off slightly harsh, Of course he knew Kai was more anxious than himself or his older brother, "Sorry, I just don't like the idea of lying to him, especially about something big like this", He shook his head, clearly unapproving of Soobin's decisions
.Soobin nodded, he didn't exactly WANT to do it, "I understand why your upset Tae, but Huening's anxiety is bad enough, I can't have him thinking all the Mafia movies he watches are real"
"You're right, it was a good move, but we aren't kids anymore, as much as I think he's a bit young, he deserves to know a bit more about our situation". He sighed, looking out the window again, noticing a small figure in the trees, "The fuck..?"
"Language Taehyun!" Soobin glared at him, turning back to the road. "N-No! I swear I saw something", Taehyun tried to argue, trying to catch another glimpse at what he saw.
"Cut it out, you're distracting me", Soobin rolled his eyes, turning his head to see if he could see what Taehyun had seen.
Kai had now slowly woken up from the slight shouting, his eyes widening as he saw a large set of road spikes laying across each side of the street.
"Soobin!", Kai shouted, startling both Soobin and Taehyun, both of them turning to face the front of the car, both of their eyes widening.
"H-Holy shit! Stop the car!", Taehyun shouted, to which Soobin slammed on the brakes, trying his hardest to slow the car down.
"Hold on!", Soobin shouted, his car running over the spikes which had caused it to spin out of motion, doing quite the amount of spins before slamming into a tree.
The car made a very loud screech before its crash, Soobin hitting his face against the steering wheel lightly, which had only caused a small cut on his lip and a larger one on his forehead.
Taehyun's head hitting the side of the car door and his arm slightly cut from broken glass. Kai hitting his chest against the center console from the back seat, which had just left some pain along his chest and ribs.
They all coughed and groaned, Kai being the first to wiggle his way out of the car, Taehyun following shortly behind him, Soobin for some reason couldn't get his seat belt undone, and his head hurt too bad to understand where his brothers went.
"Kai..? T-Tae?", He called out, flinching as a man appeared by the side of his car window, a masquerade mask covering the lower half of his face. Soobin tried his best to see who it was, but just ended up groaning at the effort put on his head.
The man slipped his hand into his pocket, pulling out a King of Diamonds card with a named signed on the back, placing it in Soobin's lap.
He then leaned over, whispering in the boy's ear, "Your brothers have gone to help the boy, I suggest you go find them before he decides whether he likes them or not."
His voice was deep and strong, but also came off as almost tired. Then he slit the seat belt holding Soobin in the car's seat before disappearing.
Soobin quickly got out of the car, looking down at the card in his hand, the name on it had no meaning to him so he didn't understand why this would be happening, or why that man would give him this pointless card with someone's name signed on it.
"Taehyun! Kai!", He shouted out, shoving the playing card in the back of his pockets, noticing Taehyun crouched over and Kai standing beside him with his hands on his head, they were standing beside someone lying on the floor.
Soobin quickly ran over, gasping as he saw a young boy with the side of his head bleeding, but this was odd, this boy wasn't a part of the crash, at least he didn't think so.
Soobin lifted up the boy, who didn't look much younger than him, laying his head on his lap as he sat down. To which his brother's watched, Kai looking slightly traumatized and Taehyun looking deeply worried about the young man.
"Kai! Give me your jacket!", Soobin spoke harshly, but Kai had been completely zoned out on the bleeding boy, to which Taehyun nudged his arm harshly which had snapped Kai back to reality, quickly slipping off his jacket to hand to his brother.
Soobin pressed the jacket against the young man's head, shivering slightly as he watched the boy wince in pain as he held it there.
They'd have to wait till the boy woke up before they could figure out a way to get off this stranded road.
