I'M UNFAILINGLY AWARE OF the environment i'm currently in. The strong clinical smell circulating around makes it hard to miss.

Despite the young man sitting directly facing me on the opposite side, I keep my face buried to the hospital clean flooring.

There are people moving on and about through the hospital's lobby, but everything is almost a distant noise to my ears.

"Miss, please can you say something? We need to know if that man is a relative of yours or not." He questions again, but I make no attempt to respond. Instead, I grip the hem of my cardigan that's wrapped around of my body.

I hear footsteps approaching us. I raise my head slightly to glance at the male nurse who still has his eyes on me. He looks to be in his middle or late 20s, by my guess.

I return my eyes back to the rips on my black jeans, finding that they show little to no skin of my body. I should've worn a dress that covers my body entirely or a plain jean, at the very least.

"Nurse Alex, has she said anything yet?" A feminine voice ask with a bit of hopefulness in her tone.

I lift my eyes to meet her to see she's a nurse too. Average in height, a bit chubby with chocolate brown skin and neat cornrows.

"No she hasn't. She's still silent." He responds almost regrettably.

He's been trying to get answers out of me since we arrived at the hospital. But i've provided no information whatsoever and kept my lips sealed instead.

I wish I can explain what's going on with me, but i'm afraid I have no clue.

"Miss," the female nurse calls me quietly and comes to sit besides me on the waiting room steel bench.

"I know you must be in shock and i'm sorry if this is in anyway inconvenient for you," her voice is careful, yet tender.

"But we really need you to identity if you're family to that man. You're the only one the ambulance saw with him and the only one who came with them to accompany the patient, who's currently fighting for his life." Her words proceed in high hope that'll i'll finally say something.

Immediately we got to one of Hollow Valley's general hospitals in town, they put Draco into a different stretcher and rushed him into an operating room.

I didn't go in there— not that they'll allow me.

I can't stand to see the man who made my life a living hell, connected to tubes and oxygen fighting to save his own life, after ending two innocent lives.
