Today is the day of my engagement. The house is bustling with activity, the schedule packed to the brim. We have both the engagement and Haldi today, followed by Mehendi and Sangeet tomorrow, and the wedding itself on the 8th of May.

"Okay, okay, calm down and take a breath," I say, guiding her to sit on the bed. I pour her a glass of water, which she drinks quickly. "Calm down, baccha. Now go get ready as you've always dreamed for my wedding. I'll handle the rest," I add softly, patting her head. She beams at me, hugging me tightly. "You're the best bhai!" she says, then heads out.
I quickly get ready and join everyone downstairs. We make our way to the venue, ready for the big day.
