"Hey! Wake up, Earl!" I heard, seeing a little clearer now.
When my vision cleared up, I can see her. I can see Ylona.
"You okay, Earl?" She asked.
"Ylona?" I asked back.
"How.... how do you know my name?" She wondered.
"Don't know. I think I heard it before or something." I said.
"How about you? How do you know my name?"
"I think I got it in a dream. A weird one. I saw what happened today, you saving me, in that dream." She said.
"Same here. That's how I got yours." I replied.
"Then why didn't you tell me the truth about where you got my name?" She asked.
"Because I thought that you weren't gonna believe me." I replied.
"Okay then." Then I remembered what Blue and Red said to me.
I needed to go back in time. I won't. Meeting Ylona changed my choice. I'll protect her. I can't risk going back to the past to save her. I already met her in my present. I can't risk it. I want to be happy. I want her to be happy. I don't know where that last two sentences came from. I just thought of it, out of the blue. I don't get it. Is Ylona someone I know? Well if I didn't, I would like to know her.
"What now?" She asked.
"Don't know." I said. A silence suddenly hit us. Looking at each other like we know each other very well.
And then, a noise suddenly hit our ears. It was so loud, Ylona and I knelt because of the pain. I turned to look where the noise was coming from. I saw a bright colored circle. I remembered what the colored duo told me. That some of the rocks turn into portals. This was one of them. I saw the alien coming out. It was a different alien. Less armored but it was fast. Barely faster than a car. I didn't know how to beat this guy if it comes to that. But I knew then, there was no if. I told Ylona to stand back, to go to a safe place that isn't too near. I threw my key to the air and shouted the word. And like before, it landed on my hand as a sword.
"Come get some!" I shouted.
The alien started murmuring something I can't understand.
"Earl, your eyes are yellow again!." Ylona shouted from a distance.
I just gave her a thumbs up, signalling her that it's fine.
I ran towards the alien. I tried to split the alien into two by trying to slice it. I missed, he's too fast. I can barely see him when he dodges. Now it's his turn, he tries to punch me. I tried to dodge the punches to avoid direct hits. Everytime he aims for my head, he probably wants a one hit KO. I tried to hit him but he was too fast. The sword was too big and heavy that it makes me slower. I keep missing my swings and his attacks hit me but its not a full on hit. As we keep on fighting this predictable fight, Ylona was watching. She must have thought that I was so weak. I completely forgot about the second key until my pocket became hot. It felt like it was burning. I took the key out. It was shining.
"Earl, your eyes...... they became darker. Not bad dark like good dark. Your eyes became darker in color." Ylona called out.
I thought that it was telling me that I was ready.
"We have planned this for 5 years. Your death will be inevitable. You are weak." The alien said suddenly learning english.
