YLONA

"Earl! Your chest!" I shouted.

He touched his chest to see what I'm talking about. He was shot. I was so scared. I tried to look at the gunner's face but it looked like Earl's friend Jan. After Earl collapsed, Jan quickly ran towards him and grabbed him. I tried to chase him but when I looked in the hallway the person went into, he was gone, and so was Earl. I stopped dead in my tracks and teared up untilI heard footsteps. Aliens. I tried to run but I was too slow. The aliens saw me before I hid. They were chasing me. I tried to run as fast as I can.

"Red! Help!" I shouted.

"The key, Ylona. Use it. It has the same effects as Earl's."

"Oh yeah."

I brought my key out and threw it in front of me. I shouted the magic word and it turned into a bow and arrow. I caught it and tried to do what Earl did a while ago but the enemies were too close for me to stop and shoot it. I tried to find somewhere I can hide. I found the hallway again, where Earl got shot. There was so much blood on the floor. And then I saw that he dropped his key. I think this was the sword one. I grabbed it quickly and ran again. After so much running I managed to get ahead enough to turn around and shoot the arrow. Like before, it created a wall of fire between us but I had to hurry. I needed someplace to hide for a few minutes and then try to look for Earl.

I found a room. A small one, like two people can barely fit. It was locked though. I tried to use Earl's sword but the key won't change to the weapon.

"Dammit. Why won't you change?"

"Ylona, try to use your key to open it. The key's shape will change if you hold it against a key hole and then you can use it."

"Really?" I tried it and it worked.

I hid inside and locked myself. I wondered where Earl could be. If he is okay. If he is still alive, of course he is. I was about to take nap because I was so depressed. But a flash of light appeared in front of me. It was a person. I don't get it. It was Earl, all okay.

"Earl?"

"Huh?"

"Its you!"

"Ylona?" He said while hugging me. He was so warm.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"I was running from some aliens and hid here. I thought you were gone. Where were you?"

"I'll explain everything later. I'm sorry that I ever left you."

"Oh yeah, the one who shot you? I think I know who it is."

"Me too." He said and smiled. Did something happen where he was? He seemed more prepared. He seemed more.... badass, handsome. His scars from his battles with the aliens didn't look disgusting anymore. It made him look fierce, like he can take anything on. And some of his teeth were kind of sharp so it made him look like one of those anime characters when they smile. I could see the fire in his eyes. I wonder what happened to him. Something made him stronger than what he already was.
