"Would she still want her toy in the hospital?" He said

Those words hurt like a brick i couldn't even breathe I couldn't even say a word I was stuck.

"What did you just say?" I said

"I know it sounds crazy but can you come over to the hospital it's Lulu" he said.

I wanted to cry forever sit next to her hold her hand how could this happend. I need to leave. I need to go and see her.I need motivation I need help. I need to see my Lucy.

I put the phone down then packed all tłum things and l hurry as much as I could.

I walked out my office going to my bosses office to ask him.

"Sir can I ask you a question" I said

"Is it work related?"

No you dumbass but it's important.

"No but it's important my daughter is in the hospital and I need to see her I don't what happened because her father of course his ass didn't tell me"

"You have a daughter?"

"Yeah I'm 23 after all"

"Sure but be back in a couple of minutes" he said

"Don't I deserve to stay home with my daughter?"

"I mean you can if you want to be fired"

"This is bullshit and you know it I need to see my daughter and you talk about being back after are you kidding me". I said

I can't be wasting my time with him I need to see my daughter.

"Is she ok what happened Zack".

"It happened when you left I ran down the stairs to make her a snack then she ran down too when she wasn't supposed to so she slipped and hit her head and she had stitches but they said she's ok" he said

"When they left you called me".

"Yea I'm sorry if you were busy"

"No it's ok she's more important than work I would rather be fired than lose her"

"Well I know Lucy will be okay" he said.

We just sat there in silence I sat there staring at my girl in a hospital bed sleeping hoping she wakes and remembers me.

"So how was work?" Zack asked.

"It was ok until I got a phone call about her" I said.

A few minutes passed by Zack fell asleep while I stayed up waiting for her to wake or a doctor to come in.

I was almost asleep when the door to the room opened.

"Hello"

"Hi I'm her mom uh how is she doing" I ask.

"She has a concussion of course but she will wake when her body is ready and awake but mostly she is good you can talk to her" he said.

"Ok thx"

I arrived back at work to complete a little of things then home.

"Is she awake?" I asked Zack.

"Yeah they gave her some juice and I gave her some fries" he said.

"Ok tell her I'm coming home soon"

"I will"

I hang up and sighed I don't even know what to do next. But I only have two minutes left to go home.

Knock,knock

"You can come in" I said looking down at my phone.

"Ms.Miller did you get the email I sent you my computer says it doesn't have any internet connection"

"Oh I'm not sure I'll check" I said.

"I did get it thanks" I said getting back to what I was doing.

"So how is your daughter doing" he asked.

Did he just ask how she's doing?

"She's ok her dad is with her"

"Ok good to know" he said and walked out.
