Shoto glided ahead of he not looking back for a second as he gained distance. Quickly approaching the next obstacle.
'TODOROKI EXTENDS THE GAP BETWEEN AYUMI AND TODOROKI QUICKLY APPROACHING THE FALL!' Mich screams existent so obviously laced in his voice. 'Well I know who he's cheering for.'
I glanced ahead, watching Shoto deftly manoeuvre across the thin strings, his cool calm composure never wavering. I didn't want to be back in the lead just yet I had to go around this without consuming too much of my power, I need to save in for when I really need it. It wasn't long before the sound of explosion heightened exposing Kachan plan.
'He can't be serious.'
Kachan was rapidly closing the distance. His dynamite-like explosions propelled him forward with incredible speed, his aggressive nature reflected in every burst of energy.
'This is actually perfect, Kachan isn't dumb he'll know that he can't keep this on forever otherwise he'll burn through the nitro-glycerine too quickly otherwise. I can't let him pass me or the whole plan will be useless.' Focusing my powers onto the sole of my feet my strides lengthened allowing me to speed up covering more space in less time but Kachan was still quick and was catching up to her. A smile laced her lips as she got closer and closer to the edge refusing to slow down.
Kachan kept he was a foot away from Ayumi a meter or something from the edge when he realised he was practically out of nitro-glycerine. He needed to stop now otherwise he would run out other the fall leaving him to fall to the bottom meaning he would be out. His quick thinking made him raise his arms above him letting out an explosion breaking the previous momentum he just had.
Ayumi braced herself for the shock wave jumping of the edge with little impulsion from her quirk, she laughed a bit as she covered her ears feeling her hair swish in the shock and pushing her halfway through the obstacle before she began to fall from the air.
"THANK KACHAN!" She screamed as she flipped backwards onto a thin string with calculated precision and balanced herself quickly and easily.
Kachan watched wide eyed as he realised he had just pushed her closer to Shoto, closer to first place. She had used his explosive power to propel herself closer to first place. She had outsmarted him and he had no clue of her plan, instead he thought he was going to surpass the both of them before but only increased the distance between them. She had figured him out before he had even realised, leveraged his power to her advantage. A small blush flushed his cheeks as he stood in shock too impressed by her thought process to really notice his heart beating uncontrollably. Snapping out of it he looked away trying to hide the small smile he had.
As I stepped lightly of the string and onto the small circular piece of ground I took a breather trying to keep focused. This test was one of finesse not speed so I needed to be impeccably concentrated and balanced. As I closed my eyes I let my mind ponder ways of completing this, that was interesting and would catch the eye of a pro hero willing to train me. As I opened my eyes they narrowed the loud explosions of approaching Kachan going silent as I stepped on to the string. Unlike before I controlled my flames no longer wild and fierce but now danced around my feet aiding me with the right amount of propulsion to keep myself steady but not too much to cause me to loose my balance.
I kept my head up trying to not look at my feet but test my senses and allow them to control me rather than me controlling them. And before I knew it I was approaching the ground my eyes narrowed on Shoto as they touched the rough surface.
"WOW! WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT AMAZING PERFORMANCE FROM AYUMI MIDORIYA! IT WAS LIKE THIS WASN'T A TEST BUT A SIMPLE CHALLENGE IN HER PATH!" Mich screamed.
