Harry's POV
"I wish you luck." Ron said patting my back. It was finally the time I could leave the infirmary. Sure, I hadn't even been a wake over a day, but it felt like forever, Madame Pomfrey had been making me drink potions all day and I was exhausted.
"Thanks mate. But I'll probably be fine. Unless he plans on killing, then I probably won't be fine." Ron and Mione laughed at that, but I could see the worry on their faces. When I was sick or injured, I definitely didn't act the best, I can admit that.
"Don't worry. If I have to, I'll shove the medicine down his throat." Malfoy said opening the door. "Now hurry up, our first class is Potions. Snape won't care that you're injured." He said and left.
"Bye I guess." I waved to Ron and Mione and tried to catch up with Malfoy.
"Slow the fuck down Malfoy." I said jogging up to him.
"Yeah, how about, no?" He said smirking. I groaned and he chuckled.
We walked the rest of the way to Potions without a single word. As soon as we'd stepped through the door people immediately looked at us and Seamus and Dean charged at us.
"Where in the fucking world have you been?!" Seamus said.
"I've been at the infirmary." I said.
"You better tell us ri- oh wait, WHAT?! YOU WERE AT THE INFIRMARY?" Dean yelled and I rubbed my ears.
"I'd rather not get into it. Just know that I'll be fine in a couple months." I said and I saw Luna whispering with Malfoy.
Draco's POV
"You better tell us ri- oh wait, WHAT?! YOU WERE AT THE INFIRMARY?" Dean yelled and Harry rubbed his ears.
"I'd rather not get into it. Just know that I'll be fine in a couple months." Harry said.
"You'll tell me later, right?" Luna whispered into my ear.
"Oh, of course Moon." I whispered back.
Luna and I had forged and likely friendship. Very few people knew about it. I don't think that even Pans and Blay know about it. We'd actually grown quite close if I'm being honest. But I would say the most surprising thing about our friendship is that we've been friends since first year. We weren't trying to keep our friendship a secret, but we didn't go around shouting it from the rooftops. She was the one that knew everything about me, even more than Pans and Blay.
"He's okay right?" She asked.
"Yeah, he'll be fully healed in a couple months. It's me you should be worried about, I'm the one that has to take care of the guy."
"Oh, stop whining. You'll be fine once you stop acting like a bastard." She said.
"I hate you." I said crossing my arms.
"I love you too. Now sit down, I think Professor Snape is about to explode. I see Calvin." Calvin is what we named Professor Snape's vein that pops out when he's angered, and right now Calvin was throbbing.
"Yeah, let's sit down before Calvin pops." I responded and sat down next to Harry.
"Today you all will be taking notes on how to extract a platypus's poison from their hind legs for a muting potion. It would prove most useful for disrespectful students." He said moving in front of Seamus and Dean who had been whispering back and forth to each other but soon went silent when they saw the look on Snape's face.
Soon enough class was over, and I was packing Harry's stuff up.
"Do you have everything you need for Herbology?" I ask him.
"Almost, I just need to pick up my plant from Neville."
"You're really having someone else do your homework?" I asked jokingly.
"Of course not, but I needed somewhere to store it and since Neville actually has his own greenhouse built on school grounds, I figured I could leave it with him. Now let's go, I know the way."
We went down five flights of stairs, took two left turns and out a doorway. We walked along the edge of the Forbidden Forest and eventually made it this hill that had a large glass building at the top of it.
"I'll be right back." Harry said and he climbed the hill surprisingly fast but once he'd made it in the greenhouse he hadn't come out. Once he'd been in there for ten minutes, I decided to check it out.
"Potter? You there?" I said entering the greenhouse and was shocked by what I saw.
"NELLIE PUT ME DOWN RIGHT NOW!" Harry yelled. A plant was holding him high in the air and refusing to put him down.
"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING POTTER?!" I yelled at him.
"IT'S NOT MY FAULT! IT'S NOT LIKE I WANTED THIS!" He yelled. Potter was so helpless.
I took out my wand.
"Stupefy!" I waved my wand at the plant, and it released Harry. "Wingardium Leviosa!" I said catching Harry in the air before he fell and placed him on the floor gently. "How did you even survive without me? You literally almost died because of a plant!" I suddenly started laughing. I tried stopping but that just made me laugh more.
"Stop laughing! I have a broken arm and newly grown bones, don't be rude." Harry said snarling.
"I'm. Sorry." I said between wheezes.
"We both know you're not. Let's just go." He picked up a plant and left the greenhouse.
"You two better have a good excuse for being late young men!" Professor Sprout told us as we made it to class.
"I had to pick up my plant from the greenhouse and Nellie ambushed me." Harry said and Professor Sprout instantly put on a kind face.
"How'd you get free? Nellie's practically impossible to escape without an adult around."
"Malfoy here freed me." Harry said and everyone gasped.
(Let's just say that everyone had forgotten that they had been friends)
"Oh, don't act so surprised." I snarled at the room, and they all looked away.
Potter sat down next to his friends, and I saw them questioning him. That's when I saw a small bruise on his neck, I looked over at Pans and Blay and saw them grinning at me. I groaned.
"Is there something you would like to share with the class Mr. Malfoy?" Professor Sprout asked.
"No."
"Okay. Just don't distract the class anymore." She said and continued teaching. Something something Mandragora blah blah blah bite whatever I didn't care. I just knew I had to explain something to Pans and Blay.
Soon enough all my classes were over, and Harry and I were heading to the common room when the same group of kids that had beat up Harry the week before came up to us.
"Well, looky here. If it isn't a Malfoy and a Potter in the hallway walking together without fighting."
"Shove off Terry Boot." Harry said and the boy looked surprised.
"How do you know my name?" He asked.
"I asked people. Is there something wrong with knowing your name?" Harry asked.
"No, I'm just surprised you know it. Come on guys let's go." Terry said and they stalked off.
"I can't believe they didn't do anything." I said.
"People change you know."
"Yeah, but I bet he didn't come over here to just say hi in the first place."
"Maybe, but the good thing is that if that was his plan, he didn't end up going through with it." Harry was so positive it was slightly sickening.
