It was dark outside, but warm and toasty under the covers, before his phone alarm went off. He yawned while turning over in bed, clicking the annoying sound off and swiftly taking the blanket off of his legs, feeling the cold breeze hit them as soon as he stood up. He stretched and wiped his face in tiredness, but immediately woke up when he saw a perfect view, outside of his ceiling to floor windows, of the sun slightly peeking up, between tall, glass buildings. He smiled and walked into his small kitchen, in his studio apartment. He filled a glass with fridge water and gulped it down, yawning as he rinsed the cup and walked back to his bed, seeing his dog curled up on her bed, at the end of his.

"Morning, Berry." He squat down and softly pet her head, waking her up from the deep sleep she was in. Her tail wagged and he leaned down to kiss her soft, fluffy head before standing up. He smiled at her stretching while walking to her food bowl. He chuckled and hummed. "Alright, alright, let me grab your breakfast." He laughed and grabbed her food bag and poured some in her bowl. As Berry ate, he walked into his bathroom to wash up.

And then, Chris went for a run, like he always does, every early morning, to the gym. Airpods in, he relaxed to the low beats and background music as he walked into the public gym. He waved and smiled at the front desk, knowing he was a regular, and walked into the locker rooms.

Chris worked out, every morning, for a good hour, not including his jog to and from the gym. After his workout, he took a shower in the public bathroom. It was always refreshing to him and, since he came so early in the morning, he had the whole bathroom to himself, which made it even more enjoyable. "See you tomorrow." He said, pushing the door open with his back, preparing his, slightly, sore, but pumped up, body to run again. He waved again, at the front desk man, receiving a smile from him.

Chris exhaled deeply as he arrived back home, at his comfy, warm, but quite lonely, studio apartment. "Hey, Berry." He softly giggled, watching her cutely jump in place and bark at him. "Shh, Berry. We have neighbors, remember?" She barked again and he just laughed, wiping his slightly moist hair off his forehead and kneeling down for Berry to hop into his arms. He picked her up, nuzzling his face into her golden brown, curly furred, ears, and walked into the kitchen. "Okay, what's for breakfast, hm?" Berry panted and tried sniffing the fridge, as he opened it. "My breakfast, Berry. You already ate, baby." He giggled and set her down, she immediately ran to her dog bed and started chewing on her toy rope.

He sighed out a smile and took out a couple eggs, wheat bread, and avocados. "Oh, Mom brought over stuff to make kimchi jjigae last week. Is it still good..." He eyed the ingredients in his hands and then looked at the things in the fridge, needed for kimchi jjigae. He shrugged and just grabbed all of them. Chris was a great cook, probably learned it from his mother, but he made homemade meals all the time. The only times he didn't cook meals was when he either didn't eat for a whole day, because he was drowned in work, or when he gets takeout with Seungmin, which is very rare but it happens.

"There we go." He set the plate of two slices of avocado toast, with two sunny side up eggs placed on top, next to the steaming bowl of kimchi jjigae, he just finished making. "Mm, smells yummy, huh Berry?" He smiled at his dog sniffing the air and trying to jump in his chair. But he pulled the chair out and swiftly sat in it instead, gently pushing her away, wet nose still in the air.

Right as he picked his spoon up, dipping it into the kimchi jjigae to taste it, his phone rang. He softly sighed and set his spoon down, getting up to grab his phone, that was on his bed.

"Mom?"
"Hey, baby. How are you doing?"
"The usual. What's up?"
"Me and your father were just talking..."
"About what?"
"Well..."

Chris sat back down and put his phone on speaker, setting it down next to his chopsticks. He finally tasted a sip of the kimchi jjigae, releasing a small satisfied sigh, before a click of his tongue from how spicy it was, as he waited for his mother to respond but she didn't. "Mom?" He heard a small sigh as he took another sip. "We want grandkids!" He heard his father yell from the background. Chris choked on the spicy soup and wiped his mouth with a napkin, taking a quick sip of water before grabbing his phone to put up to his ear. "What?"
