the last few hours family friends and loved ones came up to the podium and said sweet things about brielle reminiscing all the memories and the things they loved most about her, and it soon was Aiden's turn
Aiden steps up to the podium and stares at everyone that's in attendance. He takes a deep breath and begins to talk "I want to say that I'm really sad and sorry that she's gone. I miss her a lot and I can't believe she's actually gone...... I just wish I had one more chance to tell her how much I loved her." tears start to run down his cheeks as he gets choked up • • •
Everyone laughs and cries as Aiden tells them stories about the times they would mess around and make each other laugh. The stories are funny and emotional and everyone is touched by the way he tells them. After he finishes, everyone stands up and claps for him. The mood is now somber and sad as the crowd begins to leave
but before they close Brielle's casket he walks back up to it
Aiden looks at her one last time. He gently touches her hand and whispers to her "I'll miss you so much...... you were the most beautiful and funny person I knew. I wish things could have been different......" tears run down his face as he looks at hers seeing how different she truly looked
Aiden gets down on one knee and presses his forehead against the side of the casket. He closes his eyes tightly as he prays to Brielle one last time, hoping that she'll hear him from the heavens "I just want to say one last time how much you meant to me...... I wish I could have said goodbye...... I'm sorry for everything...... please forgive me." tears stream down his cheeks as he slowly stands back up
timeskip: 2 hours
he soon gets home and goes to sleep and he starts dreaming and he sees Brielle in his dream
Brielles POV:
I missed Aiden, i just didn't want my feelings to get involved in a friendship i thought strictly was just "friends" but it was to late to tell him how i felt... or so i thought
"Hi Aiden" i say smiling at him
he was stunned to say the least, being able to see me in his dream. He couldn't believe that i was actually standing there in front of him. He stared at me for a few seconds taking in the unbelievable moment and then runs up to me and pulling me into a bone crushing hug how you might ask? 🤷🏽♀️ god works in mysterious ways
i giggle and it sounded so angelic "i heard everything you said and i forgive you ok?" i rub his cheek
Aiden's heart melts when he heard my voice. He pulled away from the hug and looks at me with tears in his eyes "You heard all of that?" he said nervously
i nod smiling at him "i did and it was beautiful" i pull away looking down at my flowly white dress "But aiden.."
Aiden looks at me, his breath catching in his throat as he stares at me in my white dress. He stares at my face, taking in every detail of my beauty. "Yes?"
"you need to move on" i say looking in his eyes "don't not live your life because i'm not here anymore, and besides i may not physically be here but i'm always with you right here" i say touching where his heart is
Aiden stares at me for a moment, taking in my words. He nods and wipes his tears away "You're right, I can't keep holding on to the past. You want me to live my life to the fullest and I promise to do that. Thank you for always being by my side even though I couldn't see you."
right as he said that i see a light and there are stairs "it's time for me to go ok?" i say
Aiden nods his head, knowing that it's my time to go. He wraps his arms around me and pulls me close one last time "I love you, my beautiful girl...... I'll always remember you." he says crying
i look at him remembering something "when you wake up go to my house and go to my room, i have a box with all the things i was going to give you for your birthday and you can even have my phone for the pictures of us ok?"
Aiden smiles and wipes the tears from his eyes "I'll make sure to do that...... thank you for everything. I'll always keep you in my heart." Aiden lets go of me and watches as me start to ascend the stairs
before i open the gates i look at him "i love you aiden bug" i open the gates and walk in fading away
No POV:
Aiden's heart is filled with love and grief as he stares at the gates of heaven. He knows that he'll never see her again in the physical world but he knows that she'll always be watching over him. He whispers one last time before he wakes up "I love you too." Aiden wakes up and is immediately filled with sadness when he realizes it was all just a dream. He sits up in bed and wipes the tears from his eyes. He decides to go to her house and follow the instructions she gave him in the dream
