Sakusa Kiyoomi never thought he would attend Minami Tokyo Daigaku.

Not that it was a bad school. In fact, it was a beautiful campus, with good professors and a wide variety of courses, a university friendly to all majors. It was even difficult for the average student to get into, unless they had a full-ride scholarship for sports. He'd never heard a negative thing about the school, even before he arrived.

That was, outside of one glaring thing: the partying.

MTokyo was known all throughout Japan as one of the craziest party schools. They were infamous for holding the record of most noise complaints called by the locals, and most students going to the hospital from alcohol poisoning. Sakusa didn't even know that was something universities measured.

Every single one of his friends had told him that if he wanted to focus solely on his studies, MTokyo was not the school to attend. They recommended that he try for UTokyo, aka Tokyo Daigaku, just a half hour drive north of MTokyo. Not only was it the most well-known university in Japan, but it was also the most prestigious, and would look incredible on a resume when he graduated.

Sakusa had focused all his time and energy in high school on getting accepted to UTokyo. He actively disliked partying and avoided large crowds, so why would he willingly go to the monolith of loud, raucous party schools? He'd much rather make shots on the volleyball court, than take them off a frat dude's stomach.

It all fell apart when his application was rejected.

Everything had been going so well for him. He'd gotten an incredible score on the entrance exam, and he'd all but been offered a full-ride for volleyball. He was going to attend UTokyo, along with his cousin, Motoya, and he would be a short drive away from his close friends, the Miya twins, and Rintarou.

It had been the interview, he was certain of it. It had been less than a week after... After. That's what he called the time since you'd broken up with him.
