Nick and Charlie's After school life

Lily = Daughter (9 months old)
harlie's POV

Me and Nick were cuddling on the couch when we heard crying from the baby monitor. I sigh and start walking to our room, I pick Lily up and cradle her in my arms. "Shh, it's okay Lily. Mama is here..." After a while she hasn't stopped crying and I walk to the living room and find Nick in the same position. "Can you help me get her to stop crying? I've tried but she hasn't stopped.." Nick takes her from my arms and she stops crying almost immediately. I feel like a bad parent for some reason, Nick is so much better than me even though I'm the one with a younger brother. He walks to our room and put her back in her crib. I zone out and don't realise that he is coming back, he waves his hand in front of my face and I come back to reality.

"Earth to Charlie, Hellooooo." He looks at me with a smile on his face but then turns into a small concerned look. "Are you okay Char? You look upset." My eyes get watery as he puts his index finger under my chin and forces me to look up. He notices my watery eyes and tries to comfort me. "Hey, hey.. what's up?" Nick pulls me into a hug as I sob into his shoulder. "What happened Charlie? Did someone hurt you..? . . . Did I do something?"

I shake my head and decide to tell him. "I-I just think your the better parent.. I can't d anything for Lily without asking for help.." his concerned face softens a bit as he pulls me into another hug.

"Well I think your an amazing parent for her." My cries turn into sobs and sobs turn into small snoring noises. I fell asleep in Nick's embrace and we both get into our bedroom with Lily. He lays me down on the bed and tucks me in. "Love you, Char" we both fall asleep in each others embrace.
