259 Chapter spoilers!! (Some things are altered).
Some words are used directly from the manga translation, which are Yuuji and Choso's last words together.
Yuuji stumbles and limps around the rubble surrounding the entire ground, the area looking lifeless. The ground is no longer visible with how much ruble has been kicked up. Buildings have crashed down from the–still ongoing–battle. Everything has crashed down with the destruction, and many have died.
Yuuji ever wanted this. He just wanted to swallow all twenty of Sukuna's fingers and then get executed by his sensei’s hands. He was supposed to be executed. It was his fate. But that path is no more, for Gojo Satoru is dead among his other comrades. Those he didn't even personally know were killed amongst the carnage, and Yuuji Itadori’s heart is already too heavy to mourn for them, too. He can't afford to mourn right now.
Yuuji doesn't know where Sukuna is right now. He was thrown back and landed in some rubble.
He steps over rubble and kicks minor rocks away, his eyes searching for where the battle is currently going on. So much dirt and dust has been kicked up, making it hard to see, and his eyes burn from exhaustion.
Yuuji’s eyes catch on black spikey hair. His eyes widen, and he ignores the way his muscles strain, the way his entire body aches, and runs over to the person–no, cursed spirit.
“Choso!” Yuuji calls out, heart broken at the sight of the cursed spirits body littered with burns. Not even just burns, Choso's body looks charred.
Yuuji slides to a crouch beside Choso's body, and he hesitantly puts a hand on Choso's shoulder. “Choso?” His voice comes out meek this time, hesitant.
Choso opens his eyes and looks at him. “Little brother…” Yuuji's bottom lip trembles at the sound of Choso's voice cracking.
Yuuji never reciprocated whenever Choso would call him his little brother, but something in his heart squeezes seeing his older brother like this. He can't bear to not say it when Choso is obviously not going to make it with these injuries.
It reminds him of Nanami.
“I–”
“Yuuji, I'm sorry for leaving you alone again…” Choso cuts Yuuji off, a weak smile gracing his chapped lips. Tears welled up in Yuuji's eyes and blurred his vision.
Yuuji gently grasps Choso's hand with his own calloused one. They weren't always calloused, but they are now. A show of how his life took a turn. “You were always there by my side when times were toughest. That's more than enough.”
“Thank you, Yuuji, for becoming my brother.”
Choso weakly utters, his eyes threatening to shut.“Thank you, aniki…” Yuuji says tearfully, finally returning the brotherly title.
This isn't how he wanted his first time recognizing Choso as his brother to be.
Choso's smile slowly fades, and his eyes shut, his body going limp and falling down. Yuuji's exhale shudders, and tears threaten to spill past his eyes. He stands back up on his feet, and pure rage runs through his veins.
Choso is dead, and Sukuna is his murderer.
“SUKUNAAA!!!” Yuuji screams, and it echoes so loud that perhaps it even reaches the Gods.
A/N: Aniki = older brother.
