Nathanial(Nate) and Alicia Howe have been married for a very long time and have 5 children together: Austin(13), Maura(10), Connor(7), Charlotte(3), and Roman(1). Nate is a lawyer and Alicia is an english professor at Kensington College University. Alicia spends most of her time with her kids, Nate, and her three best lifelong friends: Jessica(Jess) Isles, Cassy Schilling, and Valerie Carter. Nate and Alicia later hire Sophie Watson as their children's new and second babysitter so that Alicia can go back to work and so Alicia's mother in law can have a break from watching the two youngest children all of the time and well let's just say that things happen with Alicia and Sophie(who is still confused about her identity).
Alicia's mother in law watches the two youngest(Charlotte and Roman) during the day and Sophie sometimes watches them in the evenings and weekends.
